Governor Ganduje who at a ceremony organised by the newly appointed emirs of Gaya, Rano, Bichi and Karaye in appreciation of their appointment, revealed that the Kano Emirate law was gazetted and can't be reversed.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje who said that the “Kano State Emirate Appointment and Deposition Amendment Law 2019” has already been gazetted, hence can't be reversed, claimed that his government created the emirates in order to reduce the burden on the Kano emirate.

“We created the emirates in order to reduce the burden on the Kano emirate. The challenges are too weighty on Kano emirate that is why the emirate is running away from centralization of the system. The creation of the additional emirates will allow us to re-examine history. This is not something new in Kano, it has happened before. We created emirates based on the aspirations and yearnings of our people. I am sure this development will lead to rapid development in the affected areas" he added.

Like someone rightly said, donkey years from now, we would abide by traditions and doctrines made out of political conflicts rather than decisions made by the people.

History would go like this "in 2019, 70years ago, The great upright Benevolent Emir of Kano, HRM Sanusi spearheaded the split of his kingdom into 5 provinces for growth and governance spread to the villagers of kano while getting the least landmass, his good nature endeared him to his people, he ruled for many years and died with the name tag "The peoples Emir"..

Is Ganduje such a dunce?

Any law can be repealed.

Just get the House of Assembly vote on it and it's repealed.

But aside the political undertone to this balkanization, if you look at this objectively, you will see it's not entirely a bad idea.

Why do govt get divided into states and local counties? To ease burden of administration, bring govt nearer to the people and ensure more rapid development.

Go on Ganduje.

Emirs and traditional rulers in general from North to East, Outh and West do not go anything in the country besides just sharing our scarce resources. Duplicity of such wastefulness is just insane.

Emirates do not bring development to the people rather, they are a burden.
The law recognizes three tiers of government for administrative, legal and political reasons. Emirates are not among them.

This is why restraining is supposed to be the best thing for this country. In a restructured system nobody will Bart an eyelid with what is happening in kano.

This is what we want in the whole country so that states can create as much local govt or emirates as the case maybe as they wish as long as it suits them which woukd be managed with their resources while contributing to the center the agreed %.

Nano has stated the restructuring.
