Chelsea intend to spend big this summer if Eden Hazard moves to Real Madrid and are reportedly plotting moves for some of European football’s biggest stars.

The Belgian is a £100million target for Real after Zinedine Zidane made the winger one of his priority signings this summer and the deal is expected to be announced after the Europa League final.

However, rather than sign a like-for-like replacement, BBC’s David Ornstein, speaking on 5 Live , reports that.a new centre-forward is the club’s top priority.

Chelsea are still waiting to learn if they will be banned from signing players this summer, but if the ban does not stand they will pursue a deal for PSG frontman Edison Cavani.

The west Londoners shipped off Alvaro Morata to Atletico Madrid, while replacement Gonzalo Higuain has scored just six goals since his January move.

Chelsea feel more firepower is required up front and Cavani is one of European football’s most prolific forwards, while PSG could offload him – especially if they are trying to fund a deal for Antoine Griezmann.

If the transfer ban remains in place, Chelsea will instead trigger a clause in Olivier Giroud’s contract to keep him for another year and recall Michy Batshuayi.and Tammy Abraham from their loans.
