When President Muhammadu Buhari in 2014, was campaigning vigorously for the office of the president, “war against corruption”, was the overwhelming theme of his change mantra. And seeing how the corrupt led administration of Jonathan was about to run the country aground, most Nigerians threw their weight around Buhari, which consequently led to his emergence after making several failed attempts.

Indubitably, since Buhari assumed office in 2015, he has fought corruption vigorously through the enforcement of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) that mandates all receipt, revenue, and income are collected into one single account and the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit (PICA) with a mandate to validate controls, assess risks, prune personnel cost, ensure compliance with public financial management reform, detect errors and make recommendations to management for necessary actions.
