Kano State Set To Commence BRT Operations by NASTYNASOSO: 1:30am On May 16, 2019
Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR inspected the first set of 100 BRT busses which will be deployed in 2 primary pilot routes starting with Gwarzo to Bata road and Dawanau to Bata road in the 1st phase which is a PPP project, with Kano State Government having 35% as its equity which will be equivalent to about N1Billion, while Metropolitan Bus Company limited has 75% investment to form Kano Metropolitan Bus Company, with the Infrastructure Bank supporting the project.

The BRT busses are expected to be deployed soon for test run, while the infrastructure such as bus stops and dedicated lane will be provided within 3 months. Full operations will commence in August this year.
