Coaster Bus Catches Fire In Onitsha

Over thirty commuters cheated death in Onitsha this evening, as the coaster bus they were travelling in caught fire along Zik’s Roundabout axis of the Enugu/Onitsha expressway.

Most of the passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Nigeria has one of the worst roads in the world. Every year FRSC will be showing number and statistics of people that lost their life to road accidents.
They will never attribute the cause to bad portions of the road that needs urgent repair. Neither will they attribute it to negligent and poor handling of the road by road construction companies like Julius Berger but they are quick to point out over speeding, negligence and impatience of drivers.
