Veteran Nigerian singer, John Asiemo better known as Daddy Showkey has sent out a plea to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to temper justice with mercy in the case of Naira Marley who is currently in their custody for his involvement in cyber crime popularly called “Yahoo Yahoo”. “Temper justice with mercy. This is just a young man growing up, lets not use his mistakes to spoil his career we all went through so many things growing up. We can use him as a spokesman to young people against crime. Why is Daddy Showkey now singing a different tune? I thought he was at the forefront of clamoring for crackdown on yahoo boys? Nonetheless,Naira Marley is not deserving of any pardon or pity from any quarters.It is one thing to indulge in internet fraud and it is another thing to engage in 419 and still come out publicly to brazenly advocate fraud without compunction.It is needless to mention that he has been indicted for fraud before.
