ACE ONDO MATRICULATION: OBEY ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS TO ATTAIN EXCELLENCE – DON CHARGES STUDENTS.

Obedience to constituted authorities and persistent self-development have been described as vital ingredients for students in their quest to attain excellence.

This was the position of the Vice-Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede at this year’s matriculation ceremony of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

About 3,500 students were admitted into various degree programmes at the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, which is an affiliate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife.

Speaking at the event, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, who was represented by the Dean, Faculty of Education in the University, Professor Adeleke Ademola, charged the students to live above board to enable them achieve greatness.

The Provost, Adeyemi College of Education, Dr Samuel Akintunde, who couldn’t hide his joy as this was his first matriculation as the College Provost, advised the students to obey all rules and regulations of the institution to enable them have a happy and fruitful stay on campus.

Some of the matriculants who spoke with ORANGEFM expressed their happiness for being among the lucky ones chosen by the institution.

They however promised to be of good behaviour and concentrate on their studies in order to come out as good ambassadors of the College.

Also seated in the matriculation hall were visibly elated parents and the Head of Servicom, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), Mrs Johnson Malik.
