Yeye Bello is one of the reasons i laugh when people say Youth shoukd be given power. He is a disgrace

Excuse pls, how many adults have performed better?
Whether the youths are given chance or not, it''ll happen one day. Shouldn't you be ashamed that your ancestors are still ruling you in 21st century?
If you think other youths messed up, train your children to do better not to think youths cannot do it. Yahaya Bello is just one out of millions even in Kogi state.

Yahya Bello will come back to complete his eight years tenure for the Ebiras of Kogi state. Then okun people will carry on for another eight straight years. This is the only truth that will create peace and equity in the state. If your king represents your ancestors, are your ancestors biased and selfish to this extent? The Kogi were ruled by Igalas for twenty straight years and nothing to show for it. The state was mortgaged by Igalas, ghost institutions in thousands including hospitals, schools.
Other states have ghost workers but Kogi has ghost institutions. Yahaya Bello says capital no, is that your headache? He cannot get everything right but what of security? Is Kogi state not kidnapper's den before him? You think is easy to dislodge those cartels without then paying him with corrupt media outfit. The boy says no godfatherism again in Kogi state. He made sure his SAs, PAs, commissioners, aids are all youths, is that the problem?
You think you in diaspora are wiser than those at home who decided to maintain 25/25 APC Kogi state house of assembly recently.
Please gone are the days when tribalism work in Kogi state. Yahaya Bello has broken that jinx. He may not have done well in this first term, but he has learn a lot. There is no alternative for now.
Go and sit down ..are you the only man/woman with eyes in Kogi

The scholars differed concerning the ruling on pregnant woman and breastfeeding mothers if they do not fast. There are several opinions.

1 – That they have to make up the fasts only. This is the view of Imam Abu Haneefah (may Allaah have mercy on him). Among the Sahaabah, it was the view of ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him).

2 – That if they fear for themselves, they have to make up the fast only, and if they fear for their children then they have to make up the fasts and feed one poor person for each day. This is the view of Imam al-Shaafa’i and Imam Ahmad. Al-Jassaas also narrated this from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him).

3 – That they have to feed the poor only, and do not have to make up the fasts. Among the Sahaabah, this was the view of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him). Ibn Qudaamah also narrated this in al-Mughni (3/37) from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him).

Abu Dawood (2318) narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas and ‘Ali that this phrase – “those who can fast with difficulty” [al-Baqarah 2:184] was a concession granted to old men and old women who find it difficult to fast, allowing them not to fast and to feed one poor person for each day instead, and the same for pregnant and breastfeeding women if they are afraid. Abu Dawood said: i.e., for their children – they may not fast and may feed (the poor) instead. Al-Nawawi said: its isnaad is hasan.

This was also narrated by al-Bazzaar who added at the end: Ibn ‘Abbaas used to say to a concubine of his who was pregnant: “You are like one who cannot fast, so you have to pay the fidyah but you do not have to make up the fasts.” Al-Daaraqutni classed its isnaad as saheeh, as stated by al-Haafiz in al-Talkhees.

Finally, choose the one that is okay for you among the three opinions I presented and don't forget Nana Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (SAW) said: "If the prophet is given option to choose, he use to choose the most simplest"

But if you donot have a strong, credible alternative then how do you stop him from winning. In states where governments have changed politics is virile. Ekiti was a titanic battle but the Fayose juggernaut was railroaded, similarly in Imo where there were multiple political goliaths...where is the competition in Kogi.

And this is the problem with Kogi and its people. When I say feudalism is an anathema to development and democracy, this is the proof. The years of the Audu dynasty has not permitted the broadening, deepening and growth of the political space with respect to leadership. Since the Abacha era it was all about Audu and his court. His influence pervaded even the other goverments of Wada and the man before him. And he too violently crushed all opposition while the people watched and cheered. Back then you were either in the Audu camp or not. You think Bello has not learnt from that. He too wants to create a dynasty.

This is the result. Even neighbouring Benue stands a better chance at democratic advancement because the political elites there have refused to adopt a monarchical system and appoint a so called 'spiritual leader' or 'political king'. It is the people who permitted this creation that must dismantle it at their cost. They must rise up and cut Bello to size before it becomes too late the way Imolites did. Failure to do that and not only will he win again but after both terms he will 'Jagaban' the state for decades to come and the puppets he will instal are best imagined.

Nuff said.

PS. I hope Lagosians are watching...right now everything seems jolly. So called 'performance' is used as an excuse to mask lack of democratic development. The feudalism happily supported today will be an albatross in the future. This is certain. There will be a day of reckoning when it will become imperative to change, when society must lend itself to structures for salvation, but the cost will be too severe to bear then to create them. It happened in Zaire. It happened in Ivory Coast. It happened in Egypt. It happened in Togo. It happened in Tunisia. Prince Audu was acclaimed to be a dynamic personality in his time who did good things in the 90's by that standard. Today he is no more. The debts (not monetary) to society he left are being repaid with severe interest today. Kogi doesn't have the political structure to remove Bello nor replace him with something better. He is likely to win again.

Thumbs up
This is exactly the reason why I pity the youth of this country who applaud politicians with the political intuition to crush and silence oppositions. Considering the fact that we practice democracy as a form of government, I don't think any democracy can bring dividends in the absence of strong oppositions.
