Having discovered yet another way for the PDP to replace governor Bello come November from the number one seat in Kogi state, it will shock you to know that the peoples speculations might be correct this time around.
It will also interest you to know that the kogi state peoples democratic party have turned so confused on who to present to face Bello now that the people have warned the party leader in the state not to present any aspirant that has any relationship with him since the party or the state is not a family property of the Idris or Wada’s as a lot of people are saying.
Out of the serious, responsible and acceptable aspirants gunning to be the party’s flagship it is said that Mohammed Adah Shaibu, ‘Tettes' as he’s fondly addressed is the man to watch at the primaries coming up in some few months time.
Tettes is said to be enjoying the support from the youths, women, friends of kogi who are ready to support with funds and as the new comers delight because a lot of people say he has everything in a smart governor and that’s what the kogi people have been crying for all their life.
When we asked along the line about what Ibrahim Idris will do if he’s two sons are barricaded by the Oto' ge' wiping stick in the PDP as aspirants, they said he should for once understand that politics is give and take, if you don’t give you will never get. Although he rocked the state as governor for nine good years, he’s the longest ruling governor in the history of the state and still has the political strength to muscle power from a bello to whosoever is given the kogi PDP governorship ticket but not with any of his sons, be it his biological son or the son in law.
The people do not wish to publicly disgrace their leader by voting for another rounds of a Bello because it is not the tradition of the kogi east, but if provoked that character might be borrowed from rivers or sokoto state to practically insult Idris with the total return of bello to power.
The last thing former governor Ibrahim Idris would do is to dismantle the political structure he has built over the years, it is said that a quality politician will rather die with his structures than to be alive and see it been used against him. Our people know how to make politicians feel that they are in control until the last day. And that is what we are expecting to happen to men like Yahaya Bello and Ibrahim Idris who think they are in total control of the people no matter what condition the state is facing.
The people’s analogy of a by force removal of governor Bello from office is already playing to the point where there will be no water to drink on election day, meaning that the voters would not be controlled to do their biddings, and the money wouldn’t be on ground at the last minutes to buy votes because the people that will be given the vote buying fund have planned to loot it on the go as their own gains in working a victory for Bello or Idris. Even the irregularities planned by the both parties wouldn’t work. The people understand that they are the ones used in scattering the winning and voting polling points of the ruling parties and even the oppositions too. We are going to be seeing all these and more in the forthcoming governorship battle on election day.
The people have said it all, it’s ether Ibrahim Idris gives the kogi east people a man with a responsible character that can beat governor Bello without too much battle like everyone is expecting.
On this note a Mohammed Tettes is required as the last man standing for the PDP, would the people accept him, do they know him, and if they accept him what is the guaranty that the people would come all out for his sake.
The politics of kogi state is all about tribe, money changing hands and there’s nobody that change that. We all knew how governor bello became the governor after prince Audu died out of the blues. The people have said it time without number that they will work out from the PDP alliance if a relative of Idris is flag bearer of the party come August but also promised to come all out in support of an individual that has the capacity to replace a Bello who after prince Abubakar Audu died never did anything to immortalize the prince Abubakar Audu personality for Kogi children unborn to study about him or know how he worked very hard to fight out of place a government that have no MIND for the people. Prince Audu loved the people so much that his strides as governor are still the only things the eyes can see today in kogi apart from the lokoja local and out dated stadium built by a man who ruled the state for nine good years.
Its not like the late prince did anything other state governors have not done, but for the four years he was governor a state university was in place, the roads he made are still there till today and some many others we won’t be able to list here for time sake. All we know is that prince Abubakar Audu was a man with so much class and ambition to be the leader of the people. He’s seen by Kogi people as their God given gift because of the things listed with his name for life. We have heard the people talk about him and 80% of the people would say a lot of quality things about him and as a politician that’s not a bad one at all.
The people say a Tettes will do the magic for the PDP if fielded to run as candidate of the people. They say he also has everything needed to run. He has a very quality capacity to lead the force against Bello and so much he’s reputable individualistic personality as a brand in the private sector will do a lot for kogi east people and the PDP in question.
Being a Kogi governor should take a lot of issues that is said the Bello candidacy didn’t have in his first term in office and that smiles a rat when it comes to this elections because the people are talking about it. And that factor is the values of having the managerial exposure and experience that a state like kogi requires. Anybody who will be Kogi governor must have spent good time in the labour market as a successful practitioner in his or her respective field.
These are some of the responsive character that the people say Tettes carries around as man who have worked as a pass mark in multi national organizations over the years and came out very clean without any allegations of fraud or whatsoever, unlike others who the efcc have branded as customers on a monthly basis.
Kogi will have one of the cleanest men from the private sector as governor come November if Governor Ibrahim Idris can see through the dark clouds by taking the right steps in making sure that Mohammed Shaibu Tettes is given the chance of bringing kogi out of the cave of confusion, poverty and starvation we have seen today.
The most interesting governorship battle for 2019 after that of rivers state is going to hold in kogi state and the battle starts from the primaries of both the APC and the opposition PDP. For the APC the fight is going to be between governor Bello, Oshiomhole and the Tinubu's unknown while in the PDP we shall watch the sweet Ote' ge' blockbusters if we see the delegates cue up behind Engineer Musa Wada or Abubakar Idris against the peoples accepted Mohammed Shaibu Tettes, the last man standing who is already seen as the man who will destroy the Apc finally with the people totally behind him.
One of the oldest PDP member in kogi when interviewed said the total and final end of the Wada and Idris political dynasty will come to reality the day governor Ibrahim Idris and Idris Wada will join hands together as political pillars to present one of their own to face Bello, making it very clear that the only dance the kogi east people would do will be for the return of a bello to power and the death of a political dynasty who failed to see through the glass even when the rains fell to help clean the dirty surface before the ceremonies open up for the presentation of masquerade performances.
Our speculations cameras are wide and ready to capture the frames of a Mohammed Tettes to stand against whosoever makes it from the APC in the battle line or will be facing two youths formations in the persons of incumbent governor Yahaya Bello using another party ticket and the newest of all candidates with seriousness Abdulrazaq Baba Emeje, the united Democratic Party’s flagship already making waves in the youth centres across the states with his secret campaign moves.
We are waiting to talk with Mohammed Shaibu Tettes on a possible exclusive interview for him to tell us what is going on in his political dealings with the PDP and its leaders at the national and at home in kogi. We shall see how many votes can the Indian talisman produce for those who think politics is all about voodoo and not practical work.
Kogi is a place where politicians can’t say they have won until the last vote is counted. The people like wounded lions when provoked to do so like the super eagles of NIGERIA in the days of great men like the Daniel Omochachi, Peter Rufia and Emmanuel Amunike who can come back into a game with (4) goals down with (10) ten minutes to wrap off a complete full game.
Kogi will score a good goal this time around with a quality governor that will take the people as his first priority at every point in time thereby providing them with basic amenities on the go before any other thing can come as the dividends of democracy.
