Inhabitants in different states have kept on moaning over the shortage of water. A week ago, the Katsina State House of Assembly gathered the Commissioner for Water Resources, Salisu Gambo Dandume, to show up before it today the same number of inhabitants depend on water sellers for their everyday needs. Absence of pipe-borne water in the Katsina city and environs is accepted to be because of the breakdown of water siphoning machines at Ajiwa Water Works.

An occupant, Malam Yusuf Ahmed of Layout Kofar Kaura in the city, said water sellers are misusing the circumstance. “Envision a truck with twelve 25 liter gallons that we used to purchase for N250 is presently N500. That is if you are fortunate to see the seller. They are hot wares now”. The state water board has been conveying water, utilizing tankers, to the city.

The Managing Director of the board, Babangida Mohammed, said 13 trucks were utilized day by day to supply water twice in the town. The magistrate said yesterday that water shortage would before long be over as “the government has acquired new siphoning machines and will, by next tomorrow (Tuesday) complete their establishment.” In Kano State, territories like Gandu, Dakota, Yan Kaba, and Zango, need water.

An occupant of Gandu lamented that they had not seen faucet water for right around a year. One of them, Mukhtar Isah, stated: “A significant number of our homes have burrowed wells, and that has been what we have been utilizing for our water supply.” Occupants of Sabon Gari said for more than two years; the experts had been attempting to fix the water supply in the territory.

Tadeola Benson said the region had been in limbo because of the absence of faucet water for quite a long time. In Gombe State, water shortage is gnawing hard in Gombe city and its rural areas, including a couple of zones associated with the state local water plot, compelling inhabitants to depend on business boreholes at extravagant costs.

Why is this country like this? That is how they have been building 2nd Niger bridge and other critical infrastructure since time immemorial and they keep allocating humongous sums for these projects without results because there are no repercursions!

It's not actually dailypost reported on it various state government have been reporting how they're handling situation. If you bothered reading the article you'd know it mentions 3 southern states.

Water provisions is under state governments control. They let water boards deteriorate and become mostly useless.
