BREAKING: Reps okays bill ending HND, B.Sc dichotomy

The House of Representatives, Tuesday passed a bill which put to an end the controversial dichotomy between Polytechnic Higher National Diploma and the Bachelor of Science degree awarded by the Nigerian universities.


This development was sequel to an adopted bill sponsored by Ali Isa and Edward Pwajok from Gombe and Plateau States respectively passed for second reading since April 2017.

The bill also seeks to end perceived discrimination against polytechnic graduates and remove the problems being faced by HND holders, especially those in the public service

Nigeria is a very funny country, the bill was passed when it has know meaning to Nigerian youth because it is easier to get a gold in Nigeria than to get employment.

It is meaningful especially if you are in the public sector

It is unfair to the university graduate who went through more academic rigors. The entrance qualification is not the same for both and the university course content is much deeper for most courses. They did it so that their Aboki brothers can get job easily as most of them are not intelligent enough to attend the university. At the end of the day, they become the general manager. Just the way Atiku rose to the second in command in custom with just a Diploma certificate.
