On 21st of may, a news release claims that the U.S officials have received confirmation that Craig White is indeed Satoshi Nakamoto.
This development leads to Skepticism from the Crypto Communities.
If you haven't heard of Bitcoin before. Don't worry I would do a short summary of what is bitcoin and who is the founder.

WHAT IS BITCOIN

Bitcoin is a purely peer-to-peer Version of electronic cash which allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another Without going through a financial institution and it was developed by a name called SATOSHI NAKAMOTO.
Here is how it works:
Each owners transfers the coin to the next by digitally signing a Hash of the previous transaction and the next Owner and adding these to the end of the coin. In order to prevent double spending, it is transferred to trusted central authority or mint that checks every transaction for double spending. After each transaction, the coin must be returned to the mint to issue a new coin, and only coin issued directly are trusted not to be double spent. The transaction is then publicly announced and a system participants are to agree on a single history of the order in which they are received.

WHO IS SATOSHI NAKAMOTO
Satoshi Nakamoto is the name of a person or group of person that authored the bitcoin white paper and created and deployed bitcoin's original reference implementation.
Hal finney, Nick Szabo,Dorian Nakamoto , Elon Musk and Craig White have all denied being the creator of Bitcoin.

Finally one of those that denied of being the creator Dr Craig White came out to filed a copyright registration for the white paper and most of the 0.1 version of Bitcoin's early Software. Below are the registration in full:
U.S. copyright registration no. TXu 2-136-996, effective date April 11, 2019, for the paper entitled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System, with year of completion 2008. The registration recognizes the author as Craig Steven Wright, using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

U.S. copyright registration no. TX-8-708-058, effective date April 13, 2019, for computer program entitled Bitcoin, with year of completion 2009 and date of first publication January 3, 2009. The registration recognizes the author as Craig Steven Wright, using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Wright wrote most of version 0.1 of the Bitcoin client software, and the registration covers the portions he authored.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN
Firstly, what it doesn’t mean:

it doesn’t mean Bitcoin wasn’t copyrighted before — all works in Berne Conventioncountries are born copyrighted.
it does not mean the US Government certifies Craig Wright as the creator of Bitcoin — it just means Wright has registered the claims.

He filled it online and paid $35 dollars
CONSEQUENCES
IF found guilty he would be fined for not being the creator . He would be fined for nothing less than $2,500

The reason why Mr Craig White is now legally establishing that he is bitcoin creator is because the original Bitcoin is being bastardised by protocol developers groups - first by Bitcoin core in 2017 and Bitcoin cash developers in 2018.

He said bitcoin was a group effort. He drove the project and that Dave kleimann and Hal finney ( which were formerly pointed out to be the creator of bitcoin ) were involved.

Mr Wright action has result to a mix feelings in the Crypto Communities, in which some labeled him " Faketoshi". He has also taken steps by launching a series of lawsuits against detractors and doubled down his claims.

There are numerous ways to decentralized data incase Craig Wright ends up using the patent thing to prevent people from building blockchain.
There are DAG, hashgraph, IPFS, Freenet, etc

Real Satoshi created bitcoin to be censorship resistant and decentralized.. so why would he patent it? .

I don't think he did. These are the proofs we need:
* Sign the earliest bitcoin addresses that are allegedly owned by real satoshi or transfer some coins from the addresses.

* Log into all satoshi forums/web accounts & communicate from them.

So far he hasn't done any of those.
