The Senate, Wednesday, excoriated president Muhammadu Buhari over his proceeded with the inability to consent to the Federal Audit Bill intended to reinforce and make the constant battle against debasement viable.

It would likewise be reviewed that the upper chamber first passed the said bill in 2018. The Federal Audit Service Bill tries to enable the country's office of the Auditor-General to consider responsible and punish government organizations and authorities who will not present their financial report for review.

Be that as it may, since it was passed and submitted to Buhari for consent in 2018, the President has, up to this point not consented or dismissed the bill.

A few legislators said Buhari's inability to sign the bill imperils measures went for improving budgetary straightforwardness and responsibility among government associations and authorities.
