Job Title: Supervisor – Quality Assurance (Onga Cube)

Location: Head Office, Lagos
Reporting to: Head – General Factory Operations

Objectives

To ensure that all raw materials and finished products are microbiologically analysed.
To ensure that all products meet the microbiological set standard/specifications.
Responsibilities

To ensure that all raw materials, online products and finished goods conform microbiologically to regulatory standards and company specifications.
Ensure preparation of all media for analysis.
Carry out sterilization of glass wares & media.
Carry out sampling, sample preparation, inoculation of samples into media.
Reading of plates, prompt and accurate recording of results into appropriate log books and file.
Accurate documentation of analysis result and benchmarking.
Carry out decontamination of cultured plates, wash-up of glass wares and proper storage.
Scheduled cleaning of the equipment of the micro lab
Maintain good housekeeping with strict adherence to good laboratory practices.
Carries out any assigned food safety jobs by the head of department
Assess microbiological air quality in manufacturing areas, monitor trends of microbiological results an implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions
Perform microbiological analyses of water, raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
Environmental Monitoring of all factories, laboratories and food handlers swab test analysis
Monthly CIP/COP Swab test analysis of all machines
Carries out any assigned food safety jobs by the head of department
Any other jobs assigned by superior
Job Requirements
Education:

B.Sc/HND in Microbiology.
Experience:

At least 3 years working experience in the Microbiology laboratory of a food and beverage manufacturing company.
Knowledge:

Knowledge of food, water & environmental microbiology
Skills & Personal Attributes:

Leadership qualities
Analytic personality.
Tolerance for routine
