The Senate committe on tertiary institution and TETFUND has passed a bill to Establish Federal University in Anambra state,the bill which was sponsored by Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba representing Anambra south senatorial district.
He said that the bill was laudable as the creation of the university would help create more access to Tertiary education in the state and in Nigeria, as a whole. Senator Uba had earlier stated that the establishment of the university will give his constituents and people of the southeast generally, access to quality tertiary education.

Senator Andy Uba made the disclosure on tuesday during a public hearing of the bill, He said the establishment of the university will further advance Nigeria’s body of knowledge through research by nurturing unique innovations, entrepreneurship, vocational training and wealth management as its core areas of interest.
