The Ondo police have confirmed the release of three men kidnapped along Auga-Ise road in Akoko Northeast local government of the state. The public relations officer of Ondo state police command, Femi Joseph, who confirmed their release to Channels Television said the force investigations are going on to apprehend the kidnappers. Two of the victims were said to be on their way to Ikare Akoko for a wedding, while the third person was coming from Ibese in Ogun state to Obajana, Kogi state when they were abducted by the gunmen. The third victim, Ibrahim Lawal, the occupant of Mitsubishi pickup van, is a staff of Dangote group. He was coming from Ibese in Ogun state to Obajana when the gunmen struck. It was gathered the prompt efforts of Ikare Akoko police and the local vigilante groups aided their release from kidnappers’ den.
