Aisha Buhari has shared a video on why presidents should listen to advice and not surround themselves with people telling them “what they want to hear”.

The wife of President Muhammadu Buhari took to Twitter on Friday to share the video of Julius Malema, an influential South African politician, advising President Cyril Ramaphosa against “prisoners”.

In the video, Malema told Ramaphosa, who has just been reelected, to avoid people who “thrive through patronising presidents”.

He said: “We hope that you will be a president of a country free government. There are people who thrive through patronising presidents.

“They tell you all you want to hear. And as a result, you’re unable to make informed decisions. Because you surrender yourself with prisoners, and yes men and yes women.

“You need someone who is going to be honest with you; the position you occupy needs someone who is going to be honest with you because those who failed were told many a times that they were right even when they were wrong.

“Even when the constitutional courts told them you are wrong, those around them kept on telling them you’re right. And that’s where they got it wrong.”

Good. Buhari made too many costly mistakes in his previous term due to these so called "yes men" (we have a few of them here in this forum), Aisha knows this.

Aisha is the only first lady who is more concerned about the masses.
The previous first ones were very ignorant of what they should have done, to be the best advisers of their husbands.

While one was a fashionista from 1999 till when she died(may he would rest in peace), the other was a very controversial and unruly figure who doesn't understand what life if after opportunities are gone.

You can't give what you don't have. It takes you to have a kind of property or character you are looking for in people or you can identify in people. A foolish person cannot actually identify a wise one if he sees one. The praise of psycophants are sweet, the best understanding Nigeria needs now is that we can't do well with this current structure. Nigeria needs to restructure to aid growth, everyone needs to control ànd stimulate her own growth. Even if the president is good, what of the Senate, the reps,, let us go back to regionalism....

Do you want to learn to get motivated, learn about skills and strategies in business or academics, or you want to learn from the likes of Lee Yuan Kew, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Thomas Sankara, Robert Kiyosaki, you need counseling and guidance to success in life, or you want to take an introvert or IQ test, then visit here
