Is Gsm An Unavoidable Evil In Nigeria? by Omokemesi(m): 7:51am On Sep 27, 2010
The introduction of GSM to Nigeria some years ago has brought an unimaginable uplift to the economic/social development of the country. It has tremendously reduced unemployment in the country. There is hardly any home, especially in urban areas of Nigeria, where one would not get at least a person owning the GSM. However, I have seen some people who vowed never to possess Mobile Phone because of what they called "economic, health and social hazards". They prefer to visit the Call Centres to make calls when absolutely necessary. They claimed that many hitherto happy homes had been broken through the use of GSM and foundation of love of couples demolished. Cases of infidelity among school children have risen steeply. Inspite of all vices resulting from the use of GSM, It appears the GSM has become indispensable to millions of Nigerians. How can we reduce or combat the vices and hazards since the GSM has become inevitable "evil". From OMOKEMESI
