Politics is a game of numbers and in a country like Nigeria, the numbers alongside a bit or major corruption always produce the leaders.

The dominant tribes is limited to just three namely the Hausa, Ibo and Yoruba and they usually have a major part in deciding who the next country's leader will be.

Today, I will be giving you the estimated numbers from the year 2017 which is quite recent to help you with your permutations for the 2023 elections since 2019 is done already.

And... Here we go

Hausas- This is the largest ethnic group in Nigeria and they are about 55.6 million and makes up 27.8% of the whole population. Majority of their numbers resides in the Northern part of the country and are well known for their political success

Yorubas- The second largest ethnic group in Nigeria are about 41.6 million and makes up 20.8% of the whole population. Majority of their numbers reside in the South-west and are well known for their educational resourcefulness.

Ibos- The third largest ethnic group in Nigeria are about 32 million and makes up 16% of the whole population. Majority of their numbers reside in the the South-east and they are well known for technological innovations.

The three major tribes makes up over 71.8% and this is why many politicians try as much as possible to play the tribal line for the benefit of support but don't be deceived as these numbers doesn't mean much without the support of the remaining 29.2 of the remaining population in Nigeria except the three major tribes pick just one candidate which isn't possible in this present time.

So, with this statistics, and likely individuals to contest in 2023, who do you think will win? It is not too early to know.

Politics is a game of population.
The highest number win the election, that is why you need to build bridges and not to make enemies
