The federal government should make deliberate attempts, at encouraging young Nigerians to own their lands and develop properties, since the government has no functioning housing policy, action plan...it is the Entrepreneurs investing in Real Estate property, or the young man venturing to buy land and build a house, that will eventually provide shelter, for the entire nation. Government should reduce price of registering survey, and price of processing C of O and Land documents, and those unnecessary bottles necks in Alausa offices need to be addressed, so much discrepancies going on there. In situations where government wants to use an area, where people have already built up, after paying the omoniles, and acquiring the land legitimately, the People affected, should be paid the full cost, and present day value of the property, so they can buy and build elsewhere, a governor should not use the powers of his office, to seize land from legitimatel residents, destroy their hard earned property, and chase them out, this is evil. the government is for residents and citizens, and the government is a public officer, not a public enemy. Everything the governor is doing must make sense, and must be for public good. Nigerians must be empowered to build homes in emerging areas, such as Epe towns, Ibeju, Lakowe, etc, these areas are developed faster, when more residents come in.
Dangote plc, should also be encouraged, so they can reduce cement costs, we have abundant limestone, government should harness it. This APC government should affect the Nigerian populace directly as it promised. Shelter is a basic human need and right.
