The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has released the full list of elected candidates in Zamfara state following the judgement of the Supreme Court.
INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, made the announcement during a press conference in Abuja on Saturday.

INEC's public statement announcing that they are still reviewing the clear judgement of the SUPREME Court is the dirtiest slap on our nationhood, not just the purported democracy we claim to practice. INEC is not an arm of the judiciary, but an institution created by law and subject to the authority of law as interpreted by the judiciary.

I will not be very surprised if this INEC comes up tomorrow to tell us that they will not be obeying the Supreme Court judgement. That is actually the country we have found ourselves in. The decision of the cabal is the only law that matters.

Attempts by spin doctors to begin an interpretation of the Supreme Court judgement to the extent of querying whether those who placed second in the elections in Zamfara actually got the required two third majority in the areas where elections held is silly. I am not a lawyer, but I know that the implication of the Supreme Court judgement is that any vote cast for the APC is invalid, and those votes do not exist in the eyes of the law. Therefore, if we must calculate any two third majority, it should be with valid votes, only.

Dictatorship does not just come on a people, it prepares its grounds gradually and tests the people's resolve with some brazen actions.

I am a member of the APC, but I will join any protest, sit-in or any legitimate resistance against the relegation of the Nigerian judiciary. We cannot wait for a group of less than ten people to force human or animal excreta into our mouths before we stand up and say; 'enough is enough.'

It is only in Nigeria of this time that the Supreme Court would give an order and instead of those concerned going ahead to obey that order, they come out to tell us with the silliest impunity that they are reviewing an order by the highest court in the land. When has INEC become a judicial review commission?

This is the same INEC that could wake up by 6:am to issue Certificate of Return to any of their customers who gets any jankara order of court.
