moderator please move this to front page.

I have a tenant in my house.
he paid the first year which ran from 2016 to 2017 February.
2017 to 2018 he paid the rent in bits.
I allowed him.
2018 to 2019 he paid just 50k out of 350k.
Now 2019 to 2020 he hasn't paid anything and he still owes 300k.
I told him I don't want the money anymore.
I gave him quit notice.
he refused to leave.
presently I'm using a lawyer and the lawyer is from the east.
this said tenant is from rivers state.

my problem now is what can I do to evict this guy out of the property.
everytime I call him.
he doesn't pick.
if he picks..
someone will be laughing at the background..

I need help to have him lawfully evicted from my house.

he has been served 6 months notice.
also 7 days notice, still he wont vacate the property.

the lawyer on the side is not helping matters.
why is Nigerian law very nonchalant or very slow or non effective?

please help me....

Nigerian law won't help you on this matter. Evict him forcefully (use the men in uniform, change his lock; temporarily remove your roof, windows or doors). If you have a gate, change the lock, disconnect electricity and water, etc etc.)

Do not apply that 6 months nonsense to a serial and funny debtor. That useless law will grant him another extra year without paying a dime. Another tenant may come and repeat the same process.

Can the ediot work for an employer without getting paid for 12 months?

It be possible that the guy is already building his house and hence stop paying his rent
