I am pretty sure the Yoruba population is high as well. Just go to Brazil and the black people there actually speak a dialect of Yoruba!

I think Yoruba and Igbo populations are on par with each other.

there is no such thing as "World Census Council" so I don't know what you are quoting. Can you please provide a link??
this thread is very misleading and devoid of any credibility whatsoever.

let them stop mis informing people, yoruba is spoken in Nigeria, benin Republic, Togo,Brazi,Cuba,Poto Rico,Dominica Republic while other forms of yoruba are also spoken in several countries of the world but by fewer people there* percentage of yoruba population in Nigeria is 21%, hausa/fulani 28%, igbo18%, ijaw 6% etc so let them split hausa from fulani so that we will know the tribe with the majority; where in the world have you ever had more people living in the desert/semi desert area to those living on arable lands?

"After a tremendous amount of research and years of analyzing Nigeria's population records and the records of immigration from both the slaveTrade and various countries around the world, it is safe to say that the Igbo population far exceeds the number the Nigerian government portrays it to be; 35million in Nigeria. Previous research has proven to us that the Igbo are the most widespread eethnic group in all of Africa, perhaps the world. If the Nigerian Hausa/ Fulani Population is 40m, and Yoruba is 38m, then Igbo must be atleast 5 since they are the most widespread. The Igbo population has significant numbers in West Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The Hausa and Fulani population is spread thinly from Mali to small parts of Eastern Sudan. Our experts hypothesize, that their herding and nomadic nature played a key role in their distribution and also the spread of Islam to Western Africa. Futhermore, until the Nigerian gov't brings out accurate reports of it's ethnic population, our numbers shall remain the same. To do the math simply subtract 35m, 40m, and 38m from Nigeria's 150m people and you will get 37million people of unidentified ethnicity which is REDICULOUSLY IMPOSSIBLE. As of today, or numbers remain rigid and precise until furthermore development."
