16 years old student named Commissioner in Bayelsa

A 16 years old student, Master Okworu Great Cyril of Bishop Dimieri Grammar School, Yenagoa emeged the winner of 2019 Essay Writing Competition and subsequently named a one day state Commissioner for Education.

The competition was part of activities to mark this year's children day celebration organised by the state Ministry of Education.

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Jonathan R Obuebite Ph.D while handing over office to the one day Commissioner for Education, Cyril said, the idea of organising the competition is borne out of desire to motivate and encourage the students.
