Anthony Joshua suffered a humiliating defeat to lose his three world titles to huge overwhelming underdog Andy Ruiz Jr, with the Briton knocked down four times in one of heavyweight boxing's biggest upsets.

The 29-year-old Briton was confident of making a successful debut in the United States, with a switch of opponent following Jarrell Miller’s failed drugs test resulting in Ruiz stepping in at just five-and-a-half weeks’ notice to take the biggest fight of his career.


And while the first two rounds begun in a cagey affair, Joshua looked to be cruising to victory when he landed a thunderous combination to the Mexican-American that sent him crashing to the canvas in the third round.
