Hello everyone, just got a 2000 Camry from UK a right hand drive which I converted to left and this is my first Toyota. Please I want to know if this is normal.
My car shift from first gear to second at 3000 rpm while the speedometer Needle pointing at 25km. My mechanic adviced me to service the gear box which I did with Mobil ATF yet no changes.

Now what I discovered lately was that if I get my foot off the gas pedal slitely the shift from first gear to second happens earlier around 2400rpm is this normal or is there something I could look out for, or was the ECU programmed to work that way. Please I need help from car professionals in the house.

if ur car uses a kickdown cable,adjust the cable

if not,adjust the tps

What is s kick down cable is it the cable that looks like a throttle cable from the throttle body to the gear box? How do I adjust the cable and TPS? Thanks

if u think he isn't smart snuff,change him

by merely speaking with a mechanic that knows what he saying,u will know who to follow

I live In benin city and my mechanic has exhausted all he have in his head and has told me to go look for a gear box specialist maybe I should go look for a specialist.
