It's because the judge has no shares in Oando. At least pity the shareholders 1 Like |

Until a big corporate criminal is sent to jail, the corporate/business environment will remain the same. In saner climes, based on the outcome of an investigation by the appropriate regulators especially as this oando case is concerned, what the culprits will be pleading for is a jail term that is less harsh. But in Nigeria, the case is different. Rush to court, get an injunction and step 3 cry foul to the public and appeal for public sympathy. Thereafter, play the ethnic card. Finally, buy a portion of the press and hire professional image launderers in the name of economic analyst over the media. Pronto before long, we have forgotten the issue and the circle continues. 6 Likes 1 Share |

it is very obvious that when ever elections come to and end an a winner is declared in Nigeria, one big company will collapse from Savannah bank to Skye bank. |

ppogba: Your submission is apt. Stock price manipulation, cooking financial statements and insider trading among other accusations presented by the SEC, are acts bordering on outright fraud. I think the SEC erred in just asking the board to resign. Those guys ought to have been arrested. Wale Tinubu especially lives an opulent lifestyle at the expense of shareholders. In addition, the turnover of senior staff in the last ten years in Oando and consistently changing the company structure tells me it is a company that lacks long-term vision. Now because of the way Wale Tinubu has always manipulated his creditors and our stock market, he is using our judiciary to continue to stay. Methinks capable hands should be engaged by the shareholders to run that company since Wale Tinubu has been indicted on criminal grounds now. 3 Likes |

adeyanwale5:If that would allow you to sleep at night, please believe the lie. There's no point dragging it.Just like the lies that Asiwaju owns oriental hotel before it was exposed to be blatant lie, Oando too will soon be laid bare with all the documents now in public sphere. The problem is that people don't read and easily led by the nose. It's a publicly quoted company with all the shareholding structure spread across for God's sake, not a private entity like Globacom, Dangote Refinery etc. 3 Likes |

Tinubu and Co over the years have poorly mismanaged Oando Plc with the investors and shareholders at the receiving end and this is a trend in quoted companies in Nigeria which result into investors turning their back on investing in Nigeria. If SEC the regulatory body to financial and capital markets sees the need to replace the management board of Oando, why should a judge rule against that. This judgement definitely not in favour of national interest. The current judiciary body is a big set back to Nigeria. 2 Likes |

That guy called Wale Tinubu is the biggest scammer in Nigeria's corporate governance. From the way he handled the the acquisition of ConocoPhillips upstream assets to the sell-down of Oando's midstream and downstream assets all reeks of fraud and foul play. The judiciary is a big liability to this nation 2 Likes 1 Share |

Kay17:Hahaha. You must be kidding me Thank God you said "Nigerian Judiciary ". Imagine it's a brand, will you want to buy that brand? This judiciary can't even save itself! It took the bold intervention of the president to remove their erstwhile corrupt leader! Members of the judiciary like Late Supreme Court Justice Kayode Eso who tried saving the Nigerian Judiciary died an unhappy man when the report of it's inquiry and recommendations were declared missing! Just few days ago, Femi Falana was lamenting that Nigerian judges now attack and throw out cases of public interest and I just shook my head. A whole arm of government shouldn't be left to the antics of one professional group, especially one that can't save itself. Even the judgement from our courts are like toilet papers in international jurisprudence and litigations. NJC shouldn't be another professional group, it should be an assembly of patriotic critical stakeholders in the Nigerian society. Worthy, upright and patriotic Nigerians, not necessarily lawyers 1 Like |
