Is the colour of honey supposed to be dark. I've seen honey with honeycomb and the look is different. Does the colour change during extraction? Not bashing but want to know. Quick sale. |

sassysure: I think it has to do with the type of hives a lot of Nigerian beekeepers use which is Kenyan Top Bar Hive. The output comes out messy unfilteered and mixed with brood sometimes with lots of wax compared to a lot of ones sold abroad where langstrooth beehive is used. 1 Like |

What determine the colour of ur honey is d sources at which the bees get there nectar. Even,hives in the same location,may have different honey colours. When u filter to remove comb debris,the honey will b more clearer. thanks |
