Job Description – Field Officer

Towntalk is seeking field officers who will liaise with an allocated list of event centers and act as our eyes and ears to report live events on designated streets that may increase congestion.

Duties
Field officers are expected to:
- Liaise with managers of event centers to populate Towntalk’s diary
- Maintain constant lines of communication with event centers to report new events.
- Travel through designated routes to gather live events on road traffic accidents, roadside parking and road conditions.

Skills and Requirement
Successful candidates must
- Have a minimum of WASSCE.
- Have excellent communication skills and familiarity with Victoria Island.
- Have experience in field research; public relations; or event planning will be valuable.

Duration & Working hours
Field officers will work for a total of 15 working days per month with daily shifts from 9am to 5pm. The team will work in two shifts of data gathering and live event reporting as will be determined by Towntalk’s Management Team. The first day of work will be a training session on duties, responsibilities and practicalities of field research.

Remuneration
Salary is negotiable, field officers will be supplied with mobile credit to report live events to Towntalk’s Call Center and a transport allowance for field visits.
