There has never been a better time to showcase your career than now, with the popularity of social media channels. As much as you follow up on what interests you, why not also tell the world what you are doing as regards your career growth and projection?

More professionals are using social media platforms every day for various reasons – one of which is to seek out prospective partners to collaborate with, so, always use some time spent on your platforms of choice, to talk about your interests and the work you are doing.

While doing this, you should never assume that only posts with a lot of retweets, shares, comments and likes are valid. As much as they are popular, they are not a true reflection of CTAs (call to action) for those who see or read the content. So, if your posts are not getting lots of them, do not stop, just keep telling your story, so, you will always have proof of your passion for the work you do.

Even if you do get lots of shares, retweets and the like, you must never be carried away. Your main purpose of documenting your career passion and progression on social media is to tell the world your career story and why it matters to you, not for clout. Even years from now, the information you share can always be accessed by millions of people and serve as a playbook for many career professionals around the world, you may never meet.

This is a very important step in ensuring that the world knows about what you do and how you do it. It is no longer news that LinkedIn and Twitter are some of the best places to show and talk about your career and why it matters to you. You just never know who is reading or watching you build something great out of nothing.
