Your field of study should have been in place

The project topic must be researchable
An undergraduate project topic is said to be researchable if it contains the dependent and independent variables. When one of them is missing, the project topic is incomplete and will not be approved for research.

Datedness
One of the very important criteria for choosing an undergraduate project topic is the period of event. It will be totally out of place to choose a project topic that intends to do a research about past events especially six to ten years back. One of the general ways to check this particular criterion is your citations, references, reviews of related literature and theoretical framework.

Availability of resources
Your undergraduate research project will be incomplete if you have not referred to a previous academic research in that area especially at the undergraduate level. So you must be sure that you have enough resource materials that will aide your research.
