With the Portuguese winning his 3rd trophy of the year plus scintillating performances in every tournament he has featured he now has a case for the Balondor considering that his closest rilvals have not won much this year. It was looking like the Balondor was heading for Messi, then a twist in the Fate of Barcelona left it heading for Van Dijk and now with Ronaldo winning another international trophy it is very well possible he could land his 6th baby by the end of the year |

Bernard Silva was best player because Ronaldo was absent at the beginning. In the Euros Ronaldo did all the work and got to the final and was injured. Here others worked he came to the semi final and gave them a massive breakthrough and led them in the first final. Ronaldo deserved balloon dor if you consider how Modric won it |
