Prof. Aniedi O. Ette hails from Itiam Etoi in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) from Holy Trinity Lutheran School in Uyo and thereafter proceeded to Lutheran High School, Obot Idim for his secondary school studies.

In 1979, Prof. Aniedi Ette obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Materials Engineering from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Michigan. His quest to improve his mental prowess, took him to University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona in 1980, where he graduated with Master of Science (MSc) in Metallurgy, (minor: Mathematics). Not yet satisfied, he went further to obtain his Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Metallurgy from the University of Arizona.

Prof. Ette is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), as well as the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria(COREN). He is a member of other professional bodies such as Alpha Sigma Mu International, American Society for Metals (ASM) International, Nigerian Metallurgical Society (NMS), Science Association of Nigeria (SAN) and the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSCHHE)...
