Im a great fan of music and being a pastors son you definitely must learn one or two musical instruments

Even though im working now and no longer in that line, i still have passion for music, which has got me thinking and planing on setting up a record label and organizing a talent hunt within the schools around.

If i come across a boy/girl that is good i can contact one of the popular producers to cook something and set the ball rolling..

But now i need to know the cons and pros in such venture

chai..are you sure, u can stand d frustrations behind it? do u have patience? and is your persistence level on a 100%? ...you really need to check those first before thinking about setting up a label.

1 : Manager : you should know what they do already

2: artists : very good artists with the talent.. not because your friends Bro /sis can sing small, you carry am

3: inhouse Music producer : the one with the talent as well, he/she must be very creative and really understand the industry and what people want

4 : Dj : very essential, they have there own associations as well, your Dj would connect you with other djs in your city and outside to make sure songs from your labels are played at there various shows

5: a computer /social media guy : fastest place to reach out to people nowadays is through social media platforms..

Instead of me to go into full time record label
Is it possible I register my label though then hunt for talents and sponsor. Kinda starting small with a good agreement with the artist and if business is good I can go into it full time

If you have enough resources.. You can include an A&R expert in your team...your manager can also double as one or you yourself If understand the music market well..A&r are responsible for scouting talents ,creation of quality records from the recording to the mastering stage, analysing ready made songs to discover what makes a particular song hit,what really got the listeners in awe about a song, is it the melody? Is it the lyrics? Is it because of a particular event? They use all that answers to set goals and targets for there artists.. And also if your artist have a song idea.. They are responsible to determine how well it would be received..

Connections......if you have enough resources and money to play around with, it makes things easier, also when members of your team might know someone individually..
It could be a radio /tv presenter,a social media influencer,a Dj, a blogger ,a mix engineer, a promoter, anybody that can help you in anyway.... lol you go need to dey very humble even if na pretence.. cos u can't do it alone without ppl
