from A TO Z
it has two parts north and south
southcyprus is eu country
and schengen
while north is a Turkish territory
recognized only by turkey
they spend euro in the south
they spend Turkish lira in the north
piece of advice
if u have someone to sponsor u til u finish ur studies
then go to north Cyprus
but if u don't then u can look at somewhere else

Of the 10 countries that joined the EU in 2004, nine of them joined the Schengen states with-out Cyprus. It is highly important to know that Cyprus is not a member of the Schengen countries. This is extremely important because, a lot of people with Schengen visas are lossing money on air tickets for Cyprus as they are not allowed to board flights for Cyprus; and also, many people with Cyprus visas are meeting frustrations as they are disallowed the privilege to travel to Schengen countries from Cyprus.
   SO, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR WHOEVER IS APPLYING FOR, OR IS TRAVELLING WITH A CYPRUS VISA TO BEAR IN MIND THAT A VISA FOR CYPRUS IS VALID FOR CYPRUS ALONE, AS WELL AS WHOEVER HAS A SCHENGEN VISA CAN NOT ENTER CYPRUS WITH IT. I hope this helps.
