The Oloko Ruling House of Ibese, in Ogun state has called on the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun to
ensure that no act of illegality is perpetrated at Obese through the deliberate flouting of 1957 Ibese Chieftaincy declaration.

Speaking at a Press Briefing held at Obese, Yewa North, Prince Simeon Oluremi Ige who is the Head of the family (Olori Ebi) disclosed that Prince Azeez Oladimeji Idowu is the family’s Sole nominee for the vacant stool of Ibese and of the male line of Oloko family.

Prince Ige said the Prince Idowu’s selection was a result of the divine guidance sought by the family on the suitability or otherwise of the various candidates from the family for the vacant throne.

He revealed that all the Divine consultations made unanimously pronounced Mr. Idowu as the most qualified and the most suitable of them all.

The Olori Ebi said on three occasions from September, 2017 Prince Idowu was presented to Ibese Community, including the Chiefs, the Kingmakers, the youth and elders. His choice was received warmly with thunderous applause and unprecedented approval for the vacant Ibese throne.

Reacting the claim and candidatures of Alexander Idowu Bankole, Mustaph Bankroll and Rotimi Mulero, he said they were neither nominated nor presented by the Oloko Royal Family for the vacant stool.

The Olori Ebi stated that when the name of Rotimi Mulero was mentioned, it was vehemently rejected unanimously by the Oloko Family, because according to him, the Mulero branch of Oloko family hails from the female linage and had been barred outright from access to the throne by the 1957 Ibese Chieftaincy Declaration.

Ige said it was surprising and unbelievable that the three Kingmakers out of the four turned around and arbitrarily presented Rotimi Mulero for the vacant stool even though they were aware that the1957 Declaration had outright disqualified him. http://concisenewspaper.online/ibese-obaship-family-beseech-ogun-governor-intervention/
