Job Description
Responsible for detailed Market Study Report with objectives which include the following as a minimumTo validate the assurance for the demand of the proposed Kano IPP Power project in the competitive Nigerian business environmentTo assure the feasibility of the projects demand irrespective of demand and supply challenges To provide details of the competitive advantage and the success factors of the project via SWOT Analysis To provide necessary data to aid the financial and economic analysis and model e..g. Tariffs, Collection rates, Gas price, etc.Provide an overview of the Nigerian power sector through a detailed review of post-privatization experiences and key players across the entire value chain. The assessment will focus on existing and ongoing power projects in Nigeria with emphasis on the northern region. Comment on the evolution of Electricity generation in Nigeria including but not limited to the following; Gas availability, On-grid power generation, Transmission network availability, Distribution network availability, Availability of credible offtakers.Conduct detailed market size analysis highlighting challenges faced by existing plants and how these challenges can be mitigated for the proposed power plantAnalyze electricity demand and supply in Nigeria considering current demand for power and its forecast till 2023Comment on the MYTO tariff framework and implication for the bankability of the proposed projectComment on the profile of key stakeholders being considered by Kano IPP for the proposed project such as EPC Contractor, O&M Company, promoters, etcAnalyze the impact of new entries into the marketArticulate the critical success factors for the proposed project


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MSc in Engineering Economics or Power Plant Engineering is an added advantage10 years experience in the Nigerian power sector Evidence of proven track records of participation in a similar project as a market analystExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to manage a multinational workgroup
