The presidency has reacted to the controversial alleged non-existence of electronic server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The issue of electronic server was first brought to the front burner by the commission which vowed to use it in transmitting election results electronically.

However, after the outcome of the election which is being challenged at the presidential election tribunal, the electoral body claimed not to have transmitted election results to any server but collated it manually.

On Thursday, while responding to the request of the opposition party seeking access to peruse its server, the commission said it does not have a server.

The latest position of INEC has triggered reactions from Nigerians and an aide of the former vice president.

Speaking on Friday, the presidency said the onus is on Atiku to prove that the commission has electronic server it used in transmitting results during the general election.

About 13 Presiding Officers (POs) in Borno and Yobe states have told the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja that they transmitted the results of the February 23 Presidential election in their various units and wards to the official server of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The POs in their respective Witness Statement of Oath ..........stated that the election body had, during their training, instructed them on how to transmit the results to its server.

“This year’s recall of an uplifting day in the year 1993 comes up against a background of its most shameful disavowal: the 2019 elections still under judicial contestation.An event that would be more accurately described as an exercise in body count rather than ballot count,” he said.

“The elections however merely reflected a pattern of savagery and abandonment of human sensibilities that have eaten away the sheerest sense of community in the nation.I have already described it as the final descent into the abyss of human degradation.

INEC can simply say that since the President did not sign the amendment the e-collation idea was dropped.

Remember until Atiku started promoting server theory, nobody in entire Nigerian political landscape, including the PDP, saw any e-collated results. That is why Atiku is the only one in Nigeria with an e-result.

Guess it's the same server INEC vehemently claimed its does not have but was listed in the 2019 electoral budget? You guys must work extra hard as you all have an impossible defending to do.Goodluck!

I am sure this was one of the reasons the revoked AIT's license.. Because they were the only ones airing and televising Yakubu Mahmud say and talk about server before the elections, and how INEC results were going to be sent to their server. And it was captured in Inecs budget.
How INEC denies this now beats my imagination and make me loose total hope in this country.....

See, all these babyish and barbaric Dubai tactics and attempt to manipulate data through Russian consultants cant work in Nigeria. No INEC official will tell you that an outsider had accessed to their server, the best they could tell you is that attempts were made if at all they have the server. Hope atiku and his apologists know exactly what a server is and not in the context of Nigeria's erroneous understanding.
