OAU STUDENTS SOS MESSAGE:: IN VIEW OF THE 2nd YR ANNIv, OF PROF.E. OGUNBODEDE MANAGEMENT TEAM ( a season FULL OF TALES OF TEARS, AVOIDABLE STUDENT DEATHS, MANAGEMENT COVER UP, ANTI STUDENT POLICIES, CURRUPTION, HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES , RISE OF CULTIST/YAHOO YAHOO ACTIVITIES ETC)

The current draconian regime of Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede (current OAU VC) led administration , came into power at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (OAU) about the 7th June 2017 . This was after a protracted tussle for the post of OAU Vice chancellor (VC) by the different contenders.

After it was announced that Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede had been appointed OAU VC, there were high expectations from the different stakeholders in the university that , there will are better days ahead, BUT THE REVERSE IS THE CASE , as what his regime as ushered in is a SEASON OF TEARS, SORROW, AVOIDABLE STUDENT DEATHS, MIS-MANAGEMENT, MANAGEMENT COVER UP, ANTI STUDENT POLICIES, CURRUPTION, HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES ,RISE OF CULTIST ACTIVITIES ETC.

Several of his draconian policies , have negatively affected the majority of Oau students and also a lot of Non Academic staff. The policies of his administration favour only top management of oau, academic staff close to his management and a selected few non academic staff that are willing to do their dirty work of victimizing cirtics , like the Chief security officer, Mr Oyadokun

1 Anti- student Policies and Human Rights Abuse : -
The Prof Ogunbodede led administration, imposed strict rules and policies, that led to ousting students living in school hostels, out of the serene OAU campus to the HARSH AND HOSTILE TOWNSHIP ACCOMODATION, FOR THEIR SELFISH REASONS of making economic iillicit gains ,

SEVERAL PRINCIPAL OFFICERS/ SENIOR MANAGEMENT STAFF OF OAU, HAVE OWNERSHIP OF A LOT OF the PRIVATE HOSTELS outside the school campus. In order to ensure that they get a lot of ILLICIT GAIN FROM THIS HOSTELS OUTSIDE CAMPUS, The current OAU management , conjured up WICKED and DRACONIAN policies, that forced close to 80 % of OAU students into living off campus .
We are currently compiling the names of top oau management staff , that own private hostels and their locations. We will be publishing these list soon , so that efcc , icpc etc can institute an investigation on how they came about such huge sums to own these properties , which are worth millions of naira

A LOT OF OAU STUDENTS HAD NO OPTION , THAN TO RENT HOSTELS IN THESE PRIVATE HOSTELS which are VERY EXPENSIVE, bearing in mind that the original founders of OAU , acknowledged the fact that there will be INDIGENT students from poor homes and hence built magnificent hostels like awolowo hall, moremi hall etc that was affordable to ALL students (Rich or poor)

The students' union action committee in a press statement released on social media platforms, condemned the hall management for their high handedness, confiscation of students properties and mal-treatment of students in the halls of residence. These illegitimate acts include illegal charges for bedspace clearance, seizure of students' properties, nailing of rooms and eviction as punishments for no just reasons.

2. Avoidable Student Deaths, Tears, Sorrow

(a). The most recent avoidable student death is that of miss Chiwendu Ebenezer, a final year student of Obafemi Awolowo University. she died in a ghastly road accident on he 3rd of june 2017, while on her way to get something to eat in ile ife town . The okada she boarded was hit by a bus somewhere between mayfair and lagere . Chinwendu might PROBABLY NOT have been in town to get something to eat , if she was accommodated in one of the students hostels on campus ., as ALL part 1 and final year students , statutory deserve to get on campus student accommodation, before other students in part 2 and 3.
As a final year student, she is entitled to get accommodation in One of the female hostels from the division of student affairs (DSA) of OAU , but CORRUPT , WICKED AND PERVERTED INDIVIDUALS that are in charge of the DSA, collect money from students not deserving and give them accommodation or give to sons and daughters of OAU Academic staff close to the senior management or demand sex from female OAU students
Chiwendu, who was also confirmed to have just written her final papers in the Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional examination was on her way to get Shawarma, when a bus hit the bike she was on. Instead of pushing students to live OF OFF CAMPUS , THE PROFESSOR OGUNBODED LED ADMINISTRATION , SHOULD HAVE COPIED THE STEPS OF THE FOUDING FATHERS OF OAU , BY BULIDING MORE HOSTELS TO ACCOMODATE OAU STUDENTS SUCH AS WAS DONE BY THE FOUNDING FATHERS, INSTEAD THEY SPEND THE GRANTS AND FUNDS THEY RECIEVE FROM GOVERNMENT ON FRIVOLITIES LIKE BUYING EXPENSIVE CARS AND FURNISHING HOUSES AND OTHER ITEMS, RUNNING INTO HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS

(B)Kolapo Olowoporoku, also a final year student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, suspectedly committed suicide after failing some courses. Mr. Kolapo was an 'extra year' student of Computer Science who ought to have graduated two sessions ago but was delayed as a result of two outstanding courses.
It learnt that his mates graduated in 2016/2017 academic session. The deceased, who once served as the General Secretary of his Departmental association in 2016, swallowed a poisonous portion, which led to his death.

(c)It should be recalled that SOMETIME in 2017, a female student of the institution also took her life owing to poor performance in one of her courses.It was reported that Late Miss Mercy Folaranmi, poisoned herself because she had a grade 'E' in one of her course, a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.Anytime SOME PERVERTED lecturers close to management, demand money from STUDENTS and you refuse to pay them or demand sex from female students and she refuses, they will frustrate the student and make life unbearable for them and such ATROCITIES ARE COVERED UP BY THE MANAGEMENT OF OAU and ANY OF THE STUDENTS THAT DARES TO SPEAK OUT IS VICTIMISED , HARRASED, BLACKMAILED BY THE MANAGEMENT.

This EXECUTIVE COVER UP, was exactly what happened in Prof Richard Akindele’s sex case and the school authorities were covering him up before the news broke into SOCIAL MEDIA AND CAUSED A LOT OF PUBLIC UPROAR, BEFORE THE OAU AUTHORITIES WERE FORCED TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER OBJECTIVELY AND PROF AKINDELE WAS DISMISSED DUE TO EXTERNAL PRESSURE from the general public, that JUSTICE BE DONE.
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the school, Babatunde Oyatokun, IS THE TOOL USED TO OPPRESS STUDENTS AND STAFF by the OAu administration (he particularly targets non academic staff), THAT DARE TO SPEAK OUT ABOUT THE INJUSTICE ON OAU CAMPUS AND SEVERAL STUDENTS HAVE BEEN FRAMED UP BY BABATUNDE OAYTOKUN AND LANGUISHED IN VAROIUS POLICE CELLS, t one time or the other. The CSO has a group of oau security operatives , that provide refuge for yahoo yahoo boys in the staff quarters of mostly academic staff of oau and also allegedly collects protection money from them, because EFCC , sars , dss operatives do not come into campus to raid them. All these atrocities go on under the nose of the prof ogunbodede administration
