Please every expectant mother,try to access good hospitals and prepare ahead for your childbirth.Don't just rush to any hospital when you fall into labour.Prepare ahead and ensure you have good health personnel to aid your childbirth.

I'm not saying that is what happened in her case but some of these maternal mortality cases can be avoided.I just lost a neighbor too.

Asides that many women see having a CS to mean they are lazy or can't give birth like a mother should. Most maternal deaths would have been averted if a CS was carried out early enough. Why would a woman stay in labor for 3 days, wailing in pains till she loses all her strength? When she can request for a CS on time to save her energy and life . It is well with the African woman. For me, I don't have any point to prove to anyone. Whatever makes the childbirth fast and easy, sign me up for it!

I would say MOST maternal mortality cases in Africa, especially in Nigeria, can be avoided. Our hospitals are poorly equipped, and most medical practitioners in Nigeria are dumb as f.uck!

The maternal mortality rate in Nigeria differs from that of Finland by 27,033%. That is embarrassing!
