Well if women dey scarce in naija u can always import foreign wives but then with wetin i dey see for street discredit this analysis cos with the way nigerian men are dying from cult clashes, armed robbery attacks, fulani attacks and all sort of violence na how dem go come say na men plenty pass women. Every second by the day the population of men are reducing in this kuntry while the population of women are increasing. The average lifespan of a nigerian male is 52 so e no possible for men to plenty pass women. |

Mynd44: So when they say man pass woman does it mean the men are ready for marriage? Only 3 out of every 10 men of marriageable ages are actually interested in marriage so it's not just about men outnumbering the women. |

trapQ: The chinese practice female foeticide (aborting female foetuses) all in a bid to have a son because of the decades old one-child policy. Indians practice both female foeticide and female infanticide (killing female babies) because culturally in India, having a daughter is a loss of wealth to the family since every daughter must pay her future husband and his family a very huge and expensive dowry for marrying their son. These are the reasons for having a disproportionately higher male-female sex ratio in India/China. In other countries without such terrible practices, slightly more male babies are born than female babies, but as they age, more males die compared to women, leaving more women than men. |

Ugosample: Mr Ugo, to me i believe we have more females than males though i may be wrong. Why did i say this, if you look at your environment you will notice the reason why people give birth more is because they are looking for a boy child. Most men always marry more wives or have a concubine outside just to have a male child after having several girls. If we use school as a case study, we may get it wrong because by using church as a case study, you will notice more women there likewise market. But the mkst important factor is war and crisis. Maiduguri, niger-delta, boko haram, militants, soldiers, police, mopol, armed robbers are mostly men and whichever one dies, it will be the male. Though, i may agree male child may be more than females but by the time they reach marriageable age of between 25-40, a large percentage of men would have died compared to women which balances the ratio. |

Wrong @ the bolded. Despite all that men still outnumber women. Also, in China female foeticide has long been criminalised with harsh punishments for offenders but still more male babies than females are born. In fact fetal gender reveal is a crime in China and hospitals no longer reveal fetal gender so with or without those instances you mentioned there are still more men than women. Nowenuse: |
