The beautiful city of Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa and of the largest city urban in the world. It is the provincial capital and largest city of Gauteng, which is the wealthiest province in South Africa. The city is located in the mineral-rich Witwatersrand range of hills and is the center of large-scale gold and diamond trade.

Though Johannesburg was not traditionally known as a tourist destination, but the city has been transformed into one of the major tourist cities in South Africa today.
1. A TOUR OF JOHANNESBURG ON THE EXOTIC DOUBLE CHECKER BUS:
Have a tour around the town of Johannesburg on the exotic double-decker bus, which gets you through the famous Green Route with visits through the leafy Northern suburbs stopping at Zoo Lake, the Johannesburg Zoo and the Military Museum before reaching Constitution Hill. This also happens to be the interchange point to join the Red City Tour that visits downtown Johannesburg. Stops on this route include the “Roof of Africa” viewing deck on the 50th floor of the Carlton Center, the James Hall Transport Museum, the Gold Reef City Theme park, the Apartheid Museum, SAB World of Beer, the Origins Center at Wits University and Braamfontein (home of the Neighbour Goods Market on a Saturday morning) before returning to the interchange point at Constitution Hill.
2. A VISIT TO THE FAMOUS LOCRATE MARKET IN SOWETO:

The Locrate market has been described as a lifestyle market “to break all markets”. The Locrate Market has features such as the “mother trucker” food trucks, live music, poetry readings, bike tours, craft beer and singular designer apparel.

PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA - DECEMBER 16: Visitors take photos of the statue of Former South African President Nelson Mandela that was unveiled at the Union Buildings on December 16, 2013 in Pretoria, South Africa. The statue was dedicated on the day after the burial of Nelson Mandela in his home village of Qunu on December 15, 2013. Nelson Mandela passed away on the evening of December 5, 2013 at his home in Houghton at the age of 95. Mandela became South Africa's first black president in 1994 after spending 27 years in jail for his activism against apartheid in a racially-divided South Africa. December 16 is celebrated in South Africa as Reconciliation Day and marks several significant events in South African history. (Photo by J. Countess/Getty Images)
