58. Now after the death of Mohammad, many of the muslims began to write texts which they ascribed to Mohammad himself. They made him seem bigger than he actually was by inflating the number of battles he actually fought.
59. They also made up mythical creatures, saying, Mohammad rode upon a winged steed, which had a human head and a body of a horse. Now they did all these to make Mohammad seem great.
60. Now one named Umar and another named Abubakr went and fetched fifty men who were talented in writing of stories. And they paid them and said, write many great things concerning Mohammad.
61. Then they began to write many unbelievable things, for they thought to make Mohammad appear greater than any of the mythical characters in the christian bible and the Torah of the Jews.
62. So they wrote, saying, Mohammad split the moon, sank a horse, provided food and water supernaturally, caused the enemy armies to go blind in a battle, caused rain to fall, spoke with stones and trees and they responded with human voices;
63. Also, some of them wrote saying, Mohammad does not have a shadow because he is light. They also said that Mohammad made food to praise Allah their god and he also comforted a crying palm tree. They said that Mohammad also created eyes and ears and fixed them on a boy born without those organs.
64. They said also, when Mohammad arrived Medina, everything there became illuminated and when he died, Medina went dark. They told lies about the disappeareance of Mohammad into the moon.
65. In their books, they lied also that Mohammad turned faeces to food and fed on it with eight thousand muslims. They also said that Mohammad made trees to move entirely from one place to another, for ten trees of Mecca accompanied him to Medina.
66. Also, they lied that when Mohammad prayed over a slaughtered ram, the ram swelled to twenty-one times its size and fed the whole town.
67. They lied also, saying, Mohammad held a whirlwind in his hands and the whirlwind begged him in human voice to release it. Then when Mohammad had released the whirlwind, it went and destroyed eight thousand enemies.
68. Now the lies which the writers of the false biographies of Mohammad wrote was more than the lies which had ever appeared in any religious books, but one man named Ishaq adviced, saying, let us reduce the things which we ascribe to Mohammad, because too much of everything is not good.
69. So they listened to Ishaq and included only about one-third of the things they had initially written.
70. Now the religion called Islam continued to spread and breed terrorists all over the world, for so was their founder, Mohammad when he was on earth, as well as Allah(Abd Allah) their god, who had acquired the status of God Almighty in the minds of his worshippers.
71. So did the philosophies of Abd-Allah spread from one place to another, even to Aksum, Syria and many other parts of the world. For the world loved to hear the lies of the books which were called holy.
72. But the thinkers knew that all these things were lies.

The emboldened reveals the many lies the early Muslims told about the greatness of Mohammad. Ignorantly, these people didn't know that in the future, human beings will outgrow gullibility to question all such things. Imagine, trees moving from one place to the other, moon splitting, slaughtered ram rising times twenty-one of its size. All these are ridiculous claims only believed by the gullible ancients

Chapter Two
1. Now these are some of the names of the people who upheld the religion of Mohammad from the sixth century of the common era to the tenth century;

2. Abu Bakr, Hasan, Umar, Abd Wahabi, Ali, Al-Khattab, Affan, Uthman, Aban, Al-As, Rukayya, Husain, Marwan, Abd Malik, Al-Walid, Sulaiman, Mohammad(son of Maslamah), Abd-Aziz, Abd-Talib, Maslamah, Muawiyah, Yazid, Ahnaf;

3. At-Tai, Al-Kadir
Abd-Rahman, Aisha, Utaik, Fadra, Qareeba, Kuhafah, Abu Jafar, Al-Faruk, Bishr, Ayyub, Al-Zubar, Zinba, Ammar, Bassit, Hisham, Ibrahim, Awf, As-Saffah, Al-Mansur, Al-Mahdi, Al-Hadi, Al-Rashid, Al-Amin, Nafir, Al-Muti, Aamir;

4. Al-Mustafi, Muhsin, Hilal, Manzur, Al-Wakidi, Jada, Yasir, Jarir, Mamun, Al-Mutasim, Al-Wathiq, Al-Mutawakkil, Ukba, Haheem, Mamar, Al-Muntasir, Al-Mutazz, Talha, Kathir, Kasim, Al-Muthana, Al-Khadim, Jafri, Al- Al-Muhtadi, Al-Mutamid, Ubaidhullah, Al-Muktafi, Al-Muktadir, Al-Qahir, Thabit, Ar-Radi, Al-Muttaki, Atham, Kawla, Jabla Abdi and many others.
5. All these people caused many wars and fought many battles, killing and oppressing millions of people who did not accept their religion.
6. This is the origin of [modern] religious terrorism. For many of these people were against formerly established authority, fighting to oppose every good law made in their territories.
7. They forced people to accept Islam and killed those who refused them.
8. They turned many into widows and widowers, destroyed property, raped little children and forced young girls into very early marriages, according to the deeds of Mohammad when he was alive.
9. Now the leader of the people named Uthman made himself strong. And he said, Umar was strong, but I am stronger.
10. Therefore let every iron submit to me, for I am here to bend every unbendable.
11. I will ignite the fire of violence upon the unbelievers ten times more than Mohammad and Umar put together.
12. Let the beasts of the jungle hear my voice and flee.
13. Now Uthman called Rukayya his wife and said, your father killed a thousand people for Allah, but I shall kill a million.
14. Now Uthman was very rich, because he was a merchant before becoming the leader of the people.
15. Now in the days of Uthman, the people of his land enjoyed more wealth than in the days of Abu Bakre and Umar, because he made sure more money was allocated to the people.
16. However, he put much more resources into warfare, fighting and killing the unbelievers in different lands.
17. Now when Uthman was the ruler of the people, the people of Makran rebelled, saying, we shall no more be under the rulership of Uthman.
18. Now when Uthman heard this saying, he sent armies to the land to destroy it. So Makran was subdued with great bloodshed.

The emboldened clearly tells us that modern religious terrorism has its birth from this religion called Islam. We can see Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, ISIS and other terrorist groups. They all have their roots in Islam. Their great grandfather terrorist groups are the Kharijites, Shiites, Tawwabins, etc.

CHAPTER FOUR
1. In those days, words came to Uthman concerning Egypt, saying, the Egyptians detest the seat of the Caliph, upon which you sit. They also hate you for burning many versions of the Quran, which they preferred to the one which you have brought together. Therefore let us plot the downfall of the Egyptian and let us win their hearts.
2. Now Uthman called his counsellors together and said, by what mean shall we subdue Egypt? Then one wise young man named Mohammed, the son of Hudhaifa said, great one, let us capture Egypt through their head. Let us not go and make physical war with them this time.
3. Now Uthman said, it is the truth, but we know how Amr the son of Al-as had been very powerful in Egypt. And if we go after him, man to man, we shall not conquer him, because he is full of power.
4. And we know how he is not a friend of Medina. Therefore tell me this time how I shall be able to make him subject to us.
5. Now Mohammed said, we may not be able to make Amr subject to us, but by strengthening his enemy, we shall subdue now. Now I advise that you send some men to go into Egypt and seek for us a rebel against the kingdom of Egypt.
6. And we shall support such rebel so much that he shall be able to weaken the hands of Amr the son of Al-as. For by continual attacks of rebels and terrorists on a kingdom shall the kingdom become weak.
7. Now Uthman said, this is a very good advice and I shall do according to your counsel, you Mohammed, son of Hudhaifa. So Uthman sent men to Egypt. And they found out a rebel to the kingdom of Egypt, whose name was Abdullah, the son of Sad.
8. Now the men of Medina greeted Abdullah and said to him, the caliph of Medina has sent us to you to strengthen your hands against the king of Egypt and he shall reward you greatly if you shall be able to take over the land of Egypt.
9. Now when Abdullah the son of Sad heard it, he said, great be the caliph of Medina. Let his reign be forever upon the seat of the caliphate. Let his judgement rule over all the lands of the earth.
10. Now I, Abdullah, the son of Saad, am ready to do the will of the caliph. Only let him send help so that I would have more power to fight against the son of Al-as and take his seat.
11. When reports came to Uthman, saying, the son of Saad has agreed to cooperate with you, he was very happy. Then he said, if the past leaders of Islam could fight and conquer battles, why will I not also do so?
12. They have expanded Islam into many places and they have fought many wars. The war of Badr is one, the war of Uhud is another. The war of Yathrib, of Khaybar, of Mutah, of Abraq, of Namaraq, Yarmuk, Qadisiyyah, Jalula and of Alexandria, are they not wars which Islam has fought to conquer lands, destroy people and take over many places?
13. Shall Islam cease to fight and shed blood? No, we shall not, for Jihad is good and our prophet Mohammad is great also. He has commanded wars and terrorism of lands, kingdoms and all places on earth. He used subtlety to make Amr conquer Egypt for Islam. Such subtlety shall I also use to conquer Egypt this time, for Mohammad the son of Hudhaifa shall do the same. I shall make him the helper of Abdullah and they shall take down Amr and rule over Egypt. And they shall be subject to me Uthman.
14. Great be Allah, for he has given us the son of Hudhaifa. And by him shall Egypt be subdued. Was Hudhaifa his father not my friend in the days when I and Abdullah the son of Saad put together all versions of the Qurans which were filled with heresies and I unified the Quran? So will his son also be my friend forever.
15. Now Uthman sent Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa to Egypt to meet Abdullah the son of Saad, saying, let him help you to bring down Amr. Then shall you become the governor of Egypt and Mohammed shall be your helper.
16. So Abdullah accepted Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa and they criticised the rulership of Amr the son of Al-as so much that they began to have many followers. Now Amr sent soldiers to capture Abdullah and Mohammed, but the people of the land protested, saying, Egypt shall be shredded to pieces if you lay your hands on them.
17. It is not a coincidence that they bear the names of Abdullah the father of the prophet and Mohammed, the prophet himself. For the future of Egypt is in them both and you cannot lay your hands on them.
18. When Amr could not do anything to the two rebels because of the people, he became disturbed in his mind and fell sick. Now in those days, Abdullah and Mohammed began to protest all over the land, saying, this is the wrath of Allah against Amr, because he does not respect the caliph of Medina, Uthman.
19. We therefore request from the caliph a removal of Amr from the governorship position.
20. Now Uthman commanded the removal of Amr, saying, let Abdullah be made the governor of Egypt and let Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa be his helper.
21. When Amr heard this, he refused to go down from his position. But he sought to send for the execution of both Abdullah and Mohammed. However, many of the Egyptians spoke against Amr, saying, the caliph has spoken and you must obey him.
22. So Amr was removed from the position of governor and Abdullah the son of Saad took over from him. Then did Egypt become totally submissive to the caliph of Medina, because Abdullah the son of Saad, who became the governor, was subject to Uthman.

The emboldened reveals how Uthman, the third Islamic Caliph was rejoicing over their ability to shed the blood of innocent people under the name of Islam. It is not a miracle that Islam expanded, it is by mere warfare. They mixed war and bloodletting with their religion all in a bid to Islamize the world. Nowadays that the world has been 'islamized' what next are they doing? They wouldn't just stop killing. It's in their blood. Hmm.

CHAPTER FIVE
1. Now when Abdullah the son of Saad became the governor of Egypt and Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa became his helper, Egypt was well under the control of Uthman, who was the caliph of Medina.
2. In those days, Uthman declared wars on many lands and the forces of Egypt assisted him in fighting the war of religion. So Islam continued to spread into many lands through wars and violence.
3. Now a man named Yasmun arose and said, what kind of religion is this? It has killed many innocent souls and has brought up war instead of peace. If this religion is not put under control at this time, it shall eat deep into the future of the world.
4. Then shall terrorists be bred in all lands of the world and commotion shall continue in the world forever. Why do you fight for your god whom you call Allah? Shall a human fight for that which seems greater than him?
5. Only helpless gods and idols need people to fight for them to be able to establish them in the minds of the people of the world.
6. Now when Uthman heard the confession of Yasmun of Fars, he said to his armies, go and bring that blasphemer to me. Then shall I do to him what prophet Mohammed commanded. So Yasmun was brought before Uthman.
7. Then he said, how do you have the mind to utter all these words against Islam? You shall be put to death and your land shall be completely ruined.
8. Now Yasmun said, why do you want to ruin my land because I speak the truth? Have we not had several religions in Fars before? But none of them killed us to gain our hearts and our land. Rather, they persuaded us to do their religion.
9. Was Zoroaster not a founder of religion? Yet he did not go to other lands to kill them and convert them to Zoroastrianism. Why then do you muslims force your religion upon us and kill us for it?
10. Should we worship your god by the use of force? May the good spirits forbid that I, Yasmun, the son of Baha, should worship a god which is forced on my head.
11. Now when Uthman saw the fearlessness of Yasmun, he said, how are you not afraid to speak before me? What is your trust? Who do you depend on?
12. And Yasmun said, I depend on nature. I do not fear death nor life. I was not afraid to be born into Fars at birth, so shall I not be afraid to die and be found anywhere nature has chosen for me to be, if there is any life after death at all.
13. Now Uthman got angry and said to his soldiers, behead him and bring me his head. So the head of Yasmun was ripped off him and given to Uthman. And Uthman hanged the head on a pole.
14. Now Uthman commanded in anger that the land of Fars should be completely suppresed. So the armies of Medina and the Egyptians went after Fars and conquered it, converting every soul there to Islam.
15. Now Abdullah the son of Saad began to rule over Egypt and he set up a diwan in Egypt. Now Abdallah said to the people, bring your taxes and all levies to the diwan. Now when Abdallah had collected much money, he did not want to do account before Mohammed concerning how the money were spent. For he gave half of the money realised in Egypt to Uthman who brought him into the governorship position.
16. And when Mohammed his assistant asked him, saying, leader, how are the revenues spent? Abdallah said, will you keep quiet concerning this matter, son of Hudhaifa? Now Mohammed was sad. Then he began to detest Abdallah.
17. Then he went behind him to make friendship with the Copts who hated the rule of Abdallah from the beginning. And he secretly instigated the Copts against Abdallah. And they protested, saying, we need another governor. For this one is not capable. He has diverted all the resources of Egypt to his own household alone.
18. Now Abdallah said, if I destroy these Copts who are Christians, the people shall see it as a fight against the Christians. And we know how many external support these Copts receive from other lands who are Christians.
19. At the moment, the Christians are more than us in number worldwide, therefore I shall not have any face off with these devilish Coptic people. But I shall summon their leaders to my court and bribe them.
20. So the leaders of the Egyptian churches were called into the court of the governor and he bribed them all with much gifts. And he said to them, I count on you to speak to your people in the churches.
21. Speak to them concerning me. Tell them that I am he whom their god have chosen to be the governor, only let them pray for me rather than complaining.
22. So the Coptic church leaders who have received bribe from Abdallah went to their churches and began to speak good of Abdallah. And they said to their members, let no one speak against the government henceforth.
23. For you shall bring curses upon your own heads if you do so. Abdallah the son of Saad is not a bad man, rather he tries hard to bring strength and development to his land. Go and see how the armies at battle are being helped greatly.
24. On land and also upon the waters. Go and see how Abdallah is working hard, day and night to make Egypt prosper in the matter of trade. Do you fear that he shall islamize Egypt? Put your mind at rest, because Abdallah is not ready to do such things.
25. Now most of the Copts changed from being a critic of Abdallah to being his supporters. And they said to themselves, our god have chosen him, so let us not fight against the choice of our god.
26. Now in those days, there was a great famine among the Copts, in the places where they dwelt. Then the Christian leaders said to their members, this famine is brought upon us by our god because of our unfair treatment of the governor in the past.
27. Now let a week long fasting be declared in the land, then shall the wrath of god be turned away from us. So the people fasted for seven days. However, the famine did not subside, therefore many of the Copts migrated towards the sides of the Nile River.
28. Then Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa lost supporters and he began to get angry, gathering few people to make protests against the manner which Abdullah was ruling the land.

Chapter Six
1. Now Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa got message that Uthman was he whom Abdallah delivered half of the wealth of Egypt to. Then he became angry and went to the traditional leaders of Egypt.
2. And he said to them, we can no longer watch Abdallah sucking the wealth of Egypt dry. What development has Egypt received since the day Abdallah took over from Amr? We know how Amr made Egypt more recognised in his days.
3. Egypt could stand on his own and the wealth of the land remained in the land in those days. But these days, both Abdallah and Uthman are they who share the whole wealth between themselves.
4. Now you leaders of the people, if you will join me in a protest against Abdallah, we shall be able to impeach him. If we all say the same thing, summoning Abdallah to the court of the Caliph, we shall be able to remove him from this position.
5. Now the leaders of Egypt began to send messages to Uthman, requesting for the removal of Abdallah. Now Uthman, being unwilling to remove Abdallah, sent gifts and money worth a lot to Mohammed, saying, do not mention it again.
6. When Mohammed had received the gifts and money, he called the elders of Egypt to the mosque which Amr the son of Al-As had built and said, see how Uthman the caliph of Medina meddles in corruption.
7. Was any of his predecessors corrupt as this? Never was it heard that Prophet Mohammed the founder of our religion ever gave bribe or collect it. Abu Bakre the successor of the prophet was not corrupt, also was Umar his successor.
8. But Uthman is a tree of corruption himself, knowing quite well that Amr the son of Al-As will never agree to share the wealth of Egypt with him, he removed him and put this filthy Abdallah in his position.
9. May Allah never grant Uthman heaven after his death. May he not die natural death.
10. Now the elders of Egypt said, we are tired of Uthman just as you do. Therefore let us work together to bring down Abdallah as well as Uthman.
11. Let us work with Amr the son of Al-As whose hiding place we know at the moment. For he shall counsel us on how to go about it. He is still influential in Egypt till today and many of the soldiers still speak good of him.
12. Now Amr was consulted and he said, I do not want to have the blood of Uthman on my head. He is one whom Allah have chosen to lead the cause of Islam. I see him as I see Prophet Mohammed. Who am I to lay my hands on him?
13. Therefore I advise you also, desist from plotting the downfall of the caliph, for only Allah can take his seat away from him or take him away from his seat.
14. I would rather advise you to be patient to see how things take its course naturally.
15. Now Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa and the Egyptian leaders who went to see Amr left him and returned to their places. Now Mohammed had trained some rebels, saying, you shall find your way into the court of the caliph and kill him.
16. When it became necessary for Abdallah to go to the court of the caliph to defend himself concerning all the allegations which were raised against him, he delegated power to the hands of his deputy, the son of Omar, and went his way.
17. Now when Abdallah had departed for Medina, in the period when pilgrims also went to Mecca, Mohammed put his men together and they went to the house of the governor and took over power forcefully.
18. Then Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa became the governor of Egypt. And news got to Abdallah, saying, Egypt has been overtaken by Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa.
19. No w Abdallah, having met with Uthman and had been exonerated from all allegations, demanded from Uthman some armies of Medina to fight battle with the army of Mohammed in Egypt.
20. And Uthman said, many soldiers have been dispatched to Mecca already, to watch over the pilgrims. The ones left are my guards who help to protect me against the rebels of Mohammed who are all over the place.
21. For they lurk around to kill me, protesting bitterly that I favour my own people only. They also say that I am corrupt in the matter of money. I do not want to shed their blood because they are muslims just as I am. For it shall not be good to hear that the caliph of Medina killed fellow muslims whom he should have ruled over.
22. If they had been Christians, Zoroastrians, Jews or Pagan, I would have destroyed them within minutes, but these are fellow muslims like us. So I have advised the guards to only watch their actions and make sure that they do not break into this court.
23. And I know that they shall be tired when they shall start to get hungry. Then they shall depart, each person to his place. But as soon as the hajj is over, if they are still here, I shall have them all captured and imprisoned.
24. Now Abdallah said, why do you want to wait for so long before capturing them? Then Uthman said, these rebellious Egyptians are ready to die and be killed also. If the few guards which I have here at the moment attempt to go into a fight with them, then there shall be many killings and my guards shall be greatly reduced in number.
25. Then my defence shall become very weak such that they shall get the gate and enter in here. But when all the soldiers return from Mecca, there shall be enough men to put these Egyptians under control.
26. Now Abdallah could not return to Egypt, fearing for his life. However, he went to Elath to see Jamar, the advisor of Uthman to deliver the message of Uthman to him. Then when he attempted to return to the court of Uthman again, he found that the whole place had been covered up with the Egyptian rebels such that no one can enter in or come out of the court of Uthman anymore.
27. Then he said, Allah, have mercy on Uthman and save his life. This he said, knowing that without Uthman, there would be no more hope of recovering his seat in Egypt.
Re: The History Of Islam: For Afospecialk To See by OtemAtum: 7:53am On Jun 23, 2019
Chapter Seven
1. Now the guards of Uthman concentrated at the gate of of the court, but the Egyptian rebels regrouped and some of them went to the most vulnerable side of the wall of the court. And they found a little crack on the wall.
2. Then they said, the wall is too high for us to climb and jump down at the other side. Therefore let us widen this weak portion and pass through it. So they made a hole through the crack of the wall and one man named Husein entered in. Thereafter, other rebels entered in and began to fight with the guards.
3. Now Husein hid until he had entered into the bedchamber of Uthman after killing the two guards at the door. Then he caught him by surprise, saying, Uthman, you have seen death already and you cannot escape. Pray to Allah to receive your soul, because you shall be put to death.
4. Now Uthman said, spare my life and I shall reward you with 500 Dirham. I shall give you twenty virgins to be your wife.
5. Now Husein said, your life is more important to me than all these physical things and I shall not go for anything but your life. You cannot buy my honour with a million dirhems as you have bought the integrity of many in the past.
6. Now Uthman, listen to your offences and judge if you are not worthy of death; you favour only your relatives, putting them into government posts which they are not qualified for.
7. You put your hands in the treasures of nations and spent them lavishly. You do not consider others in your decision-making. You are just evil.
6. Now while they spoke, two women came in to them, one was the wife of Uthman while the other was one of his daughters. Now the wife of Uthman, seeing that the rebel was armed, took a knife and rushed towards Husein from behind, but he dodged the blow and struck her with the sword in his hand.
7. Now when Uthman saw this, he got angry and jumped at Husein unarmed. Then Husein pushed the sword hard into his belly and he bled profusely. And Uthman said, what is your gain in this? Then Husein said, for thousands of souls whose blood you have shed, you are paying with yours.
8. Now Husein rushed out of the chamber and some guards rushed after him and struck him hard so much that he fell down and died.
9. Now the news of the death of Uthman began to spread and many different people claimed to be responsible for his death. For they thought that they would be rewarded greatly by a man named Muawiyah who had once been subject to him, but was now the governor of Syria.
10. Others thought that Amr the son of Al-As would reward them for doing such. However, no one owned up to the death of Uthman.
11. Now Uthman was buried by his wife Naila and few other people, despite the great resistance which they received.
12. After the death of Uthman, Ali the son of Abi Talib was chosen as the next caliph. When Ali became the caliph, Muawiyah the governor of Syria sent message to him, saying, let the peace of Allah be upon you. Let the seat of the caliph favour you.
13. Let your end not be as that of Uthman who was slaughtered in his own house. But I ask of you that you should find out the sponsors of the rioters who killed Uthman. For we know that it is impossible for the rioters to go all the way to Medina to strike without sponsors.
14. I suspect Mohammed the son of Hudhaifa who has forced himself upon the throne of Egypt. Let your battle be against him so that the spirit of Uthman could get justice.
15. Because if you do not punish the killers of Uthman, a time would come that even you yourself will be suspected to have had a hand in his death.
16. Now Ali did not give heed to the words of Muawiyah, then a war occurred between them. Now the army of Muawiyah and Ali fought for many days in Siffin.
17. Now Mohammed, the son of Hudhaifa who was the governor of Egypt had been killed by some secret men of Amr Al-As, who still had an eye on the seat of the governor of Egypt. However, he could not win the heart of Ali the caliph of Medina to restore him back to the position of the governor of Egypt. Rather, he had made Qays the governor after the death of the son of Hudhaifa.
18. Therefore Amr secretly arranged for the murder of Ali. And three men went after him while he was praying to Allah his god in the great mosque. And the men disguised as some seekers of truth and came to Ali, saying, we have come to seek after your wisdom and to learn from you.
19. And Ali began to teach them the ways of Allah and of Mohammed, the founder of his religion. And they said, you have done great in teaching us all these. Therefore we shall reward you with befitting gifts.
20. So each man brought out a weapon. The first brought out a sword, the second a spear and the third a dagger. Then they stabbed Ali until he had died. And his blood stained the floor of the mosque.
21. When Muawiyah heard that Ali had died, he was glad, saying, he who cannot do justice does not deserve the seat of the caliphate. But I pray that Allah should grant him peace in his heaven.

Chapter Eight
1. Now these are the names of the muslim leaders who led with violence and wars after the death of Mohammed the founder of their religion. These were called caliphs before the seat of the caliphate was cancelled;
2. Abu Bakr, the same was he who fought hard in the battle against the Quraysh of Mecca. For he fought them hard with Mohammed, saying, accept Islam or die. For in his days, Islam was uncommon, having just begun with Mohammed.
3. Abu Bakr became the caliph and ruled for two years. For he fell sick and died when he had used a contaminated water for ablution in his courtyard. For the Shias(the supporter of Ali) had polluted the water with the intent to kill him. His body swelled and he had fever. Then he died.
4. After him was Umar, who led the great conquest against the Persians. Now Umar had captured many of the Persians in the battle of Nahavand. Among the captured ones was Piruz, a man who was a soldier.
5. Now Piruz had been made a slave by a man named Al-Mughira. In those days, Piruz began to become close to Umar, for his master sent him several messages to the court of Umar. Then a day came when the Shias who wanted Ali the son-in-law of Mohammed as the caliph approached Piruz and said, kill Umar for us and we shall offer you safety.
6. Now in those days, Umar had twenty-five Shias in his court without knowing. And he had trusted them to protect him.
7. A day came when Umar was praying in the mosque that Piruz stabbed him twice and began to run away. Then the people chased him, but Rahaman, one of the Shias in the mosque protected him and received three blows of daggers in his chest while Piruz escaped.
8. Now Umar had served as the caliph for ten years before he was killed by Piruz who was sent by the Shias.
9. After the death of Umar, Uthman became the caliph and yet again the Shias hated him. Now when Uthman was the caliph, a Shia named Kazim went to a mountain and began to lay a curse on Uthman, saying;
10. Let Uthman die by the hands of Allah and let his corpse be fed to pigs. Ali the son of Abi Talib is the choice of Mohammed before his death, therefore let anyone who sits on the seat of the caliph die until Ali becomes the caliph.
11. When Uthman heard it, he secretly sent his guards to take the man. So Kazim was brought before Uthman. Then Uthman pierced his body and drained his blood until he became lifeless.
12. Uthman ruled for twelve years before he was killed by an Egyptian rebel.
13. Now Ali, the son of Abi Talib, having waited for twenty-four years after the death of Mohammed, eventually became the caliph. Then the Shias celebrated him and said, the wish of Mohammed and Allah have eventually come to fulfillment.
14. When Ali became the caliph, he said, it is by Allah my god that I become the caliph. I do not deserve it by my own strength. I do not fight for it.
15. In the days of Ali, he made changes to the Quran, having criticised some of the texts which were put down in it by Uthman his predecessor. Ali also wrote some exaggerated texts about Allah and Mohammed.
16. Aisha, the girl child whom Mohammed had sex with and married at the age of nine years old had become forty-four years when Ali became the caliph. Then Aisha went with Talhah and sixteen thousand warriors against Ali in a battle, for she had been bribed by Muawiyah, who had visited her and had said to her, distract Ali from the battle which he has planned against me.
17. Now when the battle had just commenced, Ali called Aisha and Talhah and spoke with them, saying, let this battle be not fought. For we are all muslims, why then should we kill one another.
18. Let us fight holy wars only, according to the commandment of Islam. Are there no Christians, Manicheans, Zoroastrians, Buddhists, Hinduists and pagans to kill anymore that we have to now kill ourselves?
19. Now Aisha went to declare the restoration of peace on a camel, but the forces of Ali attacked her. A man named Marwan was he who stirred up the fight, saying, let the battle continue.
20. And he was he who shot the arrow first. Then the fight continued and Aisha was captured and taken to Ali. When Ali saw Aisha, he said with tears, you have caused this death.
21. Why did you ever make a plan to attack me? Tell me, who instigated you against me?
22. Then Aisha spoke in tears, Muawiyah is he who said to me, let the battle against me be distracted. Weaken the hands of Ali so that he would not come against me.
23. When Ali had pressed Aisha further, she confessed that Muawiyah had bribed her with 60,000 dirhams to carry out the feat.
24. When Ali heard this, he was angry at Aisha. And he said, if you are not the widow of Mohammed my master and my benefactor, I would have beheaded you. Now go and hide yourself and let me not set my eyes on you henceforth.
25. So Ali sent Aisha away and kept the news of the bribery of Aisha by Muawiyah away from the public until his death. However, he kept Muawiyah in mind and hated him.
26. Now Ali ruled as the caliph for five years and he was killed by the men whom Amr, the son of Al-As sent to murder him while he was teaching them about Allah his god, but the Kharijites claimed his death, for they themselves had planned to kill him earlier, because they were tired of all those who had turned the seat of the caliph to politics.
27. Now from the reign of Abu Bakr to the reign of Ali, the seat of the caliph was called the Rashidun Caliphate. But Al-Hasan, the son of Ali, who reigned for a very short period after his father was not recognised among the Rashidun caliphs.

Chapter Eight
1. Now Amr, the son of Al-As made friendship with Muawiyah who was very powerful in those days. And he said to Muawiyah, I seek your support to reinstall me as the governor of Egypt.
2. Remember my exploits in the former time when I was the governor of it. I, with the support of Umar the good caliph of Medina, made a great city called Fustat and it became the headquarter of Egypt rather than Alexandria.
3. Remember how it was I who joined the Nile river with the Red Sea, thereby there could be easy access. The first mosque in Egypt was done also by me through the help of Allah. Therefore let me be in charge of Egypt once again.
4. Now Muawiyah assured Amr of becoming the governor again, saying, I shall arrange for the death of Qays.
5. Now in those days, Al-Hasan, the son of Ali took over the seat of the caliph. The name of his mother was Fatimah, who was one of the daughters of Mohammed, the founder of Islam.
6. When Al-Hasan obtained power, he blamed the death of his father upon Muawiyah, the governor of Syria, saying, there is no doubt that Muawiyah is the killer of my father. May Allah judge him forever.
7. When Muawiyah heard this, he said, what have I done to the son of Ali to deserve this accusation? I do not wish Ali dead all the days of his life, because he was the pillar of Islam, being the fourth caliph since the death of Mohammed, the founder of this religion.
8. Now let me not see Aljana if the seat of the caliph does not get thorn out of the hands of the blood of Ali.
9. Now Abd-Al-Rahman, one of the Kharijites who was sent to kill Ali before Amr Al-As sent his men to kill the same Ali, said to the rest of the Kharijites, we made plans to kill Ali, Muawiyah and Amr Al-As so that we can bring the internal conflicts within Islam to a rest.
10. But we do not know who killed Ali ahead of us. Therefore let us claim the murder of Ali and let us also announce our interest in killing Muawiyah and Amr Al-As.
11. For in declaring this shall we send fear into the minds of these two evil ones. And they shall say, if the Kharijites are able to kill Ali in Kufa, which is heavily guarded, how shall they not also easily reach us and destroy us?
12. Then we will disorganise them through fear and by so doing, the task of killing them would become easier.
13. Now when it was announced, saying, we the Kharijites killed Ali and we shall not stop until we have killed Muawiyah and Amr Al-As also, then Muawiyah was troubled, so he sent for Amr Al-As, saying, did you hear what the Kharijites have said?
14. Now tell me, if they have successfully brought Ali down to the grave, despite the strength of Kufa, what will stop them from getting us dead also?
15. Now Amr-Al-As said, great one, there is nothing to fear in this. For the Kharijites themselves are not aware of the real person behind the death of Ali. Was it not I, Amr the son of Al-As who sent three expert killers to Ali?
16. These killers killed Ali and brought evidence to me that they were successful? How then do the Kharijites claim to have had a hand in it? Obviously, they have declared this so that they could send fear into our minds to weaken us.
17. For by false testimonies shall the minds of the gullible ones be obtained.
18. Now when Muawiyah heard this, his anger was hot against the Kharijites because they had successfully deceived his mind. So Muawiyah said, let Allah not grant me Aljana if I am unable to obtain a thousand heads of the Kharijites.
19. So Muawiyah declared, saying, the Kharijites are truly responsible for the death of Ali, because on the same day when Ali was killed, I was attacked also as well as Amr the son of Al-As, who was the former governor of Egypt. But we survived their attacks by the help of Allah.
20. Therefore Muawiyah sent soldiers to get hold of some of the leaders of the Kharijites. Then he captured five of their leaders, including Abd-Al-Rahman. Then they were all killed.
21. Now the people believed the testimony of Muawiyah, saying that he had been attacked by the Kharijites and Allah had saved his life. So many people loved Muawiyah, saying, we prefer him to be the caliph, because Allah our god did spare his life at the attack of the Kharijites.
22. So Muawiyah took the seat of the caliph from Al-Hassan, the son of Ali. Then he made Amr Al-As the governor of Egypt again.

Chapter Ten
1. When Al-Hasan, the son of Ali became the caliph, he was troubled continuously by Muawiyah until he surrendered the position of the caliphate to him just after seven months and two days of his reign.
2. However, Al-Hasan made Muawiyah swear to an oath that he would not name a successor to the seat of the caliph. Then Muawiyah swore to Allah, saying, by Allah, I Muawiyah shall not name a successor to the seat of the caliphate.
3. Let the next caliph be decided by those who would be alive by then. Let Allah do evil to me and my descendants if I break this truce.
4. Now when Muawiyah ruled as the caliph, he broke the truce which he had made by naming Yazid his son as his successor. Then the Shias hated Muawiyah and refused to recongnise him as the caliph.
5. Rather, they sought after Hasan and continued to see him ad their caliph, even though he rejected to see himself as such.
6. Now Muawiyah continued to see Hasan as a treat to his caliph seat, therefore he sent for Jada his wife. Now Muawiyah promised Jada 100,000 dirham as well as a marriage to his son, who was the heir to the seat of the caliphate at Damascus. And he said, find a way to kill Hasan then I shall make good my promise.
7. When Yazid heard that his father had promised the wife of Jada to him, he said to him, father what have you done? If Hasan is killed and I take his wife as mine, shall it not bring upon me a great battle?
8. Then Muawiyah laughed and said, do you think that I could be so stupid to fulfill my promise to her? If I do such, it is like a duck pecking the cheeks of a lion. For the duck has only called for trouble when trouble lay down gently on its own.
9. Already I have many enemies, the Kharijites, the Shiites(Shias), the descendants of Mohammed and many others, so I will not add more enemies to myself.
10. Now Jada, the adopted daughter of Al-Ashat, went and fetched a poisonous plant. Then she prepared a meal for her husband with the leaves. Then Al-Hasan ate the food and began to vomit blood.
11. While he was dying, Jada fled the house of her husband and went to Damascus to have her reward, but Muawiyah commanded his guards to obstruct her from coming close to where he was.
12. Then Jada slept around the house of Muawiyah for six days. Then when she was tired, she left the place and went away to a place where no one knew her.
13. Now Muawiyah fought many battles, some he won and some he lost.
14. Now Muawiyah said, Allah is expanding Islam and by war we will expand. Now let us rise against Byzantium and take over its capital city. Have we not neglected the fight against other nations for many years already?
15. Rather, we of the Islamic world have fought wars against each other continuously and Islam has refused to grow because we destroy our own selves.
16. Now let us go and take Constantinople by force, for we are strong enough at this time. Let Allah strengthen us and give us the victory we crave.
17. Now Muawiyah sent Yazid his son to lead the troop heading to Constantinople. Then they headed towards the sea of Marmara.
18. Now Flavius Constantinus, the emperor of Byzantium had trained many soldiers for many years, beginning from the time when he assumed power. And he had said, let us keep silent and grow in strength quietly so that the Arabians would not know the extent of our power.
19. They fight themselves these days, having no time to fight other non-islamic nations, so they are becoming weaker and weaker in strength day by day.
20. Let us wait until they shall call for a battle against us, for we know that they shall surely call for war no matter how long. Can anyone separate war and bloodshed from Islam?
21. Now when Muawiyah ordered for the destruction of Constantinople, Flavius Constantine said, it is time to test our strength on them. So the battle began around the sea of Marmara.
22. Now when the Byzantines sighted the ships of the Arabian navy, they said, get ready! Then they threw the Greek Fire at them, which was a weapon they had invented few years ago. This thing went aflame by touching water, therefore it was difficult for the navies of the Arabians to survive.
23. Now the ships of the Arabians were burnt in large number and their navies died in large number. Also the Arabians footmen were conquered by the Byzantines in those days and Muawiyah was forced to sign an agreement that he would be paying tribute to Flavius Constantius till his death.

Chapter Eleven
1. After the death of Muawiyah, his son Yazid became the caliph. Then the Shias did not regard him as the caliph, saying, this is the son of the rebellious one. For Muawiyah his father was called the rebellious ones because he contended with Ali and his son Hasan while they were caliphs.
2. Now among those who did not recognize him as the caliph were Muhsin, Kazim, Awf, Mamun; all these were of the tribe of Quraysh. Abdullah the son of Umar, Hussein the son of Ali and Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr, being of the tribe of Hejaz resisted him.
3. Now Yazid called a meeting of his tribespeople and said, we are all of the same tribe, let us not be divided. Now Abdullah the son of Umar heard the sayings of Yazid and gave up his opposition, saying, Yazid cannot be there without the knowing of Allah.
4. Now about five hundred opposers of Yazid changed their minds against him because of Abdullah the son of Umar who had changed his stance against Yazid. Now Yazid thought, saying, if I can also get the favour of Hussein the son of Ali, then I shall have rest on all sides.
5. So he invited Hussein to his court and said, I will offer you a great position. Only declare me as the caliph in your stronghold. Now Hussein said, for a hundred thousand dirhem will I not shift my view of you.
6. The seat which you occupy is not for you, nor for your lineage. It belongs to us according to the dictate of Mohammed the founder of Islam.
7. Now Yazid said, I know that you are stubborn, son of Ali. Where did you hear it that the seat of the caliph belong to your lineage? Are you more qualified for it than us? What makes you entitled to the seat more than us?
8. Now Hussein son of Ali, my father has said to me, do not kill openly, else I would have killed you right before my face. But I know that your people shall fight back. But know this; you shall die in a lower spirit. Have you found out how your brother died? In like manner shall you die too.
9. Now Yazid allowed Hussein go. Then he arranged people to go and lay a siege to hid house before he got there.
10. Now Hussein, being a clever person, did not go towards his home, rather, he went to the Hejazites in the place where they were gathered in Mecca. There he began to raise a rebel group, including the son of al-Zubayr.
11. Then they began to move towards Kufa, saying, we shall terrorise Kufa until we shall be well known.
12. Now Yazid had been told, saying, Hussein is coming to Kufa with some terrorists. Then Yazid sent his army, saying, do not let them see the walls of Kufa let alone coming close to it.
13. Let none of them escape the mouth of the sword. Strike their leader dead and let the ground be covered with blood.
14. So the army of Yazid went and waylaid the rebels of Hussein and killed them at the time when they were not ready, such that none of them escaped except five people. Hussein also was killed, but Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr and few others escaped.

15. Now in those days, a man named Mukhtar, went after Abdullah, son of al-Zubayr in Mecca and said, let us come together to raise fighters. For we shall not let the people of the Ummayad continue to reign as the caliph.
16. For we know that this position belongs to the lineage of Ali, the son of Abi Talib, according to the dictate of Mohammed.
17. Then Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr said, do you think that I will continue to fight for the lineage of Ali? Let everyone rather fight for himself. I shall fight no such foolish fight anymore, rather, I shall fight for my own honour.
18. Are the people of Ali more important than myself that they should be the caliph instead of me? Now I fight to become the caliph and I shall not cease to fight.
19. Now Mukhtar thought deeply and said, I shall fight with you, only grant me a lofty position under you. So Abdullah promised him a great position in his administration.
20. Now Yazid was advised by his adviser, saying, let us rather persuade Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr to pledge allegiance to you, because he is a major threat to your position as the caliph. He is now well revered in Damascus, Medina and even Kufa.
21. He is twenty times more dangerous than Hussein whom you killed in Karbala. Therefore send a message of peace to him and offer him wealth and position. Then he shall submit.
22. Now Yazid said, I shall send gifts and enticing message to him tomorrow, perhaps he will fall for it. But I swear by Allah that as long as I live, I shall not let him die peacefully.
21. Now Yazid sent a silver chain to Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr with 50,000 dirhams. And he said, take these gifts, for the silver chain belongs to our great prophet Mohammed, which he gave my father Muawiyah to honour him in those days.
22. I will also offer you a great position under my administration, but only pledge allegiance to me.
23. Now Abdullah sent message back to Yazid, saying, even if you give me the hand band of the prophet and his waist band as well as his rosary, I will not be moved. Only one thing I desire and that is the seat of the caliphate upon which you sit.
24. Now when Yazid heard the words of Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr, he was very angry. Then he sent a force after him, saying, destroy Abdullah in six days. Do not let him go free.
25. Now the force which Yazid sent after Abdullah was led by Amr, who was the brother of Abdullah. Now the force was conquered and Amr was captured and brought before his brother, Abdullah.
26. Then Abdullah said to Amr, I do not want you to die in my hands because we are brothers, of the same blood. Now if you wish, you may join us in the fight against Yazid and the Ummayads.
27. Now Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr said, if you do not join me, then you shall be put to death. Then Amr was beheaded in Mecca and the news of the death of Amr sent fear into the mind of Yazid.
28. Now Abdullah, the son of al-Zubayr sent a young woman to the court of Yazid, saying, make sure that you take the life of Yazid, for I know that he loves beautiful women.
29. Now Kubrat, the daughter of Maroof went to the place of Yazid and enticed him. Then Yazid went in with her and had sex with her. Then Kubrat poisoned him and he began to fall sick.
30. Now when Yazid was dying, he chose his firstborn son, Muawiyah, who was only eighteen years old to replace him. And he said to him, take Kubrat as your wife because I have promised her to you earlier.
31. So Kubrat became the wife of Muawiyah the son of Yazid, but she still followed the order of Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr.
32. Now Yazid died in the third year of his reign as the caliph at the age of thirty six years and eight months. Then his son Muawiyah became the caliph.
33. When Abdullah heard that Muawiyah who was only eighteen years old had been made caliph, he laughed and said, this is a child's play. Can a little boy bear the weight of a caliph and not be broken down to pieces?
34. Even Ali his grandfather had to wait for over twenty years before he could taste that seat, how much more his grandson who knew nothing about politics? May Allah not grant me Aljana if he remains the caliph for up to a year.
35. Now Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr sent message to Kubrat, saying, do your work again and send Muawiyah the son of Yazid to his early grave. So Kubrat went and poisoned Muawiyah also and he began to fall sick like his father. Then he died shortly after.
36. In those days, Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr had declared himself as the caliph in Mecca and he had supporters. Now to make himself well established as the caliph to the people of Iraq, he made Musab his brother the governor of Basra.

Chapter Thirteen
1. In those days, the religion called Islam had experienced perpetual wars within its own system because of the strife for power and control. Many sects had arisen, but the major sects were the Sunnis and the Shias.
2. For the Sunnis accepted the caliphate of the first three caliphs who were Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman while the Shias did not accept their reign, rather, they said that Ali was the first caliph they recognised.
3. Also the group called Kharijites had gained much strength, killing from time to time and planning to kill.
4. Now when Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr had become a caliph in Mecca, he did not remember Mukhtar to give him the position which he had promised him. Then Mukhtar approached him, saying, now that you have assumed power, do fulfill your promise.
5. Then Abdullah said, who does not know you, Mukhtar and your wrongdoings? To offer you a position in my administration will only attract many enemies to me. Therefore I will have nothing to offer you other than the position of a mere messenger.
6. When Mukhtar heard the hostile words of Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr, he departed Mecca with much grief. Then he vowed to become his enemy forever. Now Mukhtar journeyed to Kufa, saying, I shall return to the family of Ali and give them my support.
7. Now when he had reached Kufa, he called for a meeting among the Kufites and made sure the family members of Ali were mostly present. Then he began to motivate them. Then he said, O people of Ali, you have all slept.
8. Awake from your sleep and take up what belongs to you. Fight for your right. The caliphate is your birthright, therefore go for it. Do not be weak or feebleminded. Fight with the last drop of your blood.
9. Reclaim the seat of the caliph and save Islam from doom once again. I have seen a vision. I have seen a Mahdi(saviour) arise from the lineage of Ali. He shall make Islam right again.
10. Now Mukhtar went to the place where Mohammed the son of Ali was seated and he said, you are the Mahdi which Allah our god has chosen. Therefore arise and fight for the revenge of the death of your brothers.
11. First of all, fight for the revenge of the death of Hasan whom the Ummayads killed by the hands of Jada his wife. Fight also for the death of Hussein whom the Ummayads killed at Karbala.
12. Do not let any faction lay claim to the caliphate. Arise and destroy all who arise to take up the seat of the caliph. I Mukhtar shall support you in this fight.
13. So Al-Mukhtar declared Mohammed the son of Ali the caliph and the Mahdi at Kufa and he went ahead to proclaim him so. Now Mohammed the son of Ali was afraid to take up the seat of a caliph.
14. So he secretly called Mukhtar aside and said to him, my brother I have a word or two to reason with you. Why do you want to send me to my grave early? Why have you pronounced a death sentence on me?
15. Now Mukhtar said, I do not understand your hard speech. Make it soft so that I may understand and clarify issues.
16. Then Mohammed the son of Ali said, declaring me as the caliph is like a death sentence. Tell me, how many caliphs has lived beyond twelve years after becoming a caliph?
17. My father Ali, my brother Hasan and my brother Hussein did not even live up to ten years after being declared caliphs. Why do you not have respect for my life also?
18. Now Mukhtar said, you are not as strong in the mind as our prophet Mohammed, but you only share the same name. Do you not know that dying on the seat of the caliph has a great reward attached to it? You will be surrounded by virgins in aljana and many slaves shall become your possession.
19. You will sit side by side with Mohammed our prophet and eat with him. You will have houses of gold in multitude. You will enjoy many other benefits. How I wish your eyes are open to see your father and your brothers enjoying great riches in the paradise.
20. Now I charge you, fight for the seat of the caliphate. But firstly, you must avenge the death of your brothers Hasan and Hussein who died by the hands of the Ummayads.
21. Now Mohammed said, why do you need to avenge the death of my brothers who, according to you, are enjoying already in aljana at this time? Is it not absurd that you fight for the dead who are enjoying great benefits in paradise? We should rather reward those who sent them to paradise for their good deeds rather than fighting them back if indeed your testimonies are true.
22. When Mukhtar heard the words of Mohammed, he gave up and said, Mohammed, now I see that you are a coward. Is this not the reason why you have chosen to be known as the son of Hanafiyyah your mother rather than the son of Ali your father?
23. Now I shall depart from you and fight for the course of Islam in your name. I will restore the caliphate to the lineage of Ali again, only sit back and watch me as I will do it.
24. So Mukthar departed from Mohammed and went about to still declare him as the caliph so that he could receive support from the Shias and all lovers of Ali and his lineage

Chapter Fourteen
1. Now when Mukhtar had used the name of Mohammed the son of Ali to gain support from the Kufites, he got ready to fight against Musab, the governor of Basra who was the brother of Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr.
2. Now when Mukhtar had sought for more support in Kufa, the people said, we belong to the force of Tawwabin and we have pledge our allegiance to Suleiman the son of Surad Khusa. We have vowed to be united to fight the Ummayads to avenge the blood of Hussein, the son of Ali.
3. Now Mukhtar went to seek after Suleiman. Then when they had met, he said, my brother, I am glad that you have formed a group like this, having thousands of members. But let it be known to you that the Ummayads armies are skilled in warfare.
4. Therefore let me join you to train the people you have gathered in battle. Then we shall be able to rise against the Ummayads and conquer them. Now Suleiman said, if you join yourself to me, many of my people will withdraw from being in the Tawwabin.
5. Have they not heard how you went after Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr at Mecca to say, let me be offered a lofty position in your administration? For the son of al-Zubayr was a traitor who gave Hussein into the hands of the Ummayads who killed him.
6. Now Suleiman rejected the offer of Mukhtar and continued to gather people to his group. Now Mukhtar went in the name of Mohammed, the son of Hanaffiyah (the wife of Ali) and got the support of many.
7. Now on a day when the Tawwabin gathered in the town of Suleiman to have a meeting, Mukhtar sent five hundred well-trained fighters to their midst. And he had said to the fighters, dress like the Ummayad soldiers and go among the Tawwabins.
8. Make sure you all escape untouched, but make sure you are able to capture and also kill some of the Tawwabins.
9. Now five hundred fighters of Mukhtar went into the midst of the Tawwabins who were about ten thousand in number.
10. Now they hid in the dark places and captured eighty two out of the one hundred and fifteen leaders of the Tawwabins. Now these were some of the names of the Tawwabin leaders they captured: al-Rasaq son of Awf, Ar-Radi son of Mukhail, Atham son of Umar, Malik son of Hashim, Karim son of Usman, Mohammed son of Jabar.
11. Now those who tried to resist them were killed. Now in all, the fighters of Mukhtar who died were five out of five hundred, while the Tawwabins who died were four hundred and fifty eight, while eighty-two of their leaders were captured.
12. Now in the morning when it was made known that some intruders secretly entered the gathering of the Tawwabins and had captured eighty-two of their leaders, many of the people began to panic, saying how can few Ummayad fighters be able to gain access to this place un captured, such that they took away eighty-two of our leaders?
13. So many of them departed, saying, we will not present ourselves to be killed by the Ummayads when we do not have the assurance that we would be able to conquer them.
14. Now when the Ummayads heard the news, they did not deny the minor attack against the Tawwabins. For they thought that the Tawwabin forces would give up their fight against them by the thing which they had experienced.
15. Mukhtar also kept silent about the attack, but he went to lure many of the members of the Tawwabins to his side, saying, if you still love Ali and you have chosen to fight for him, then join my force.
16. Let us overcome the Ummayads together and make Mohammed the son of Ali the Imam, because he is the Mahdi who will rescue Islam from the hands of civil wars which has arisen within its system since the death of Mohammed the prophet.
17. So many of the faithfuls of the Tawwabin joined Mukhtar until he had multitude of people. But some of the Tawwabins remained with Suleiman, pledging their allegiance and loyalty to him.
18. Now the Tawwabins got themselves ready, then they went to the grave of Hussein and wept over it, saying, we Kufans are sorry for not offering you enough protection when you were killed at Karbala.
19. Forgive us of our trespass and let your spirit be with us as we go against the Ummayads tomorrow morning. Hussein, son of Ali, request on our behalves the support of Allah so that we could conquer the Ummayads and avenge your death.
20. Let us not be put to shame in this battle. Work with us, even though we are not very many. Grant to us the strength which you granted to Mohammed the prophet in his days.
21. Now after the prayer, the people went to battle with the Ummayad army at the early morning of the day. Then the Ummayads attacked them, being more than three times the population of the Tawwabins.
22. Then Suleiman and Rifa, the leaders of the Tawwabins were killed with three thousand others while many others were held captive. So the Ummayads destroyed the Tawwabins and they could not rise again.

Chapter Fifteen
1. Now Mukhtar had many men, numbering up to forty thousand in Kufa. He also had men iwhoMecca and other places which were under the rule of Islam.
2. Now on a certain day, Mukhtar led his forces to Basra and they conquered the forces of Musab, the governor of Basra. Then Musab left his seat and fled to Mecca, to Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr who was his brother.
3. Now when Abdullah saw him, he said, why do you flee? Return now and take up your seat? Only a coward ruler will flee from his own seat.
4. I will support you with thirty-thousand soldiers, then you shall return to take up your seat.
5. Now Mukhtar continued to progress in his deeds. Then he went after the Ummayads who killed Hussein, the son of Ali.
6. Now Mukhtar took hold of fifty-two Ummayad fighters who were of the Sunnis and brought them to a land which he had purchased in Kufa.
7. Then he commanded, saying, let their heads be chopped off, for they have been chosen as scapegoats to bear the death of Hussein whom they killed.
8. Now when Mukhtar had done this, he was satisfied. Then he proceeded to ordain Mohammed the son of Ali as the caliph in Kufa.
9. But when they had searched for Mohammed, the son of Ali, they could not find him, because he had departed to the city of Yemen to live a solitary life there.
10. Now there were some who advised Mukhtar that he should become the caliph if the people of Ali would not avail themselves to be caliphs.
11. When Mukhtar had thoroughly considered the offer, he declared himself as the caliph, but the Shiites were strictly against it. He also declared al-Mustafi his younger brother the governor of Basra, but many people rejected his decision and protested.
12. Then some said, Mukhtar is an imposter. He fought for himself under the name of Mohammed, the son of Ali.
13. Now we have seen the real secret behind all his agitations all these years. So twenty-five thousand faithfuls departed from Mukhtar such that he lost military strength.
14. Then Musab, the governor of Basra who once fled, returned with the fighters which Abdullah his brother had given him.
15. Then they fought hard and recovered the governorship seat after killing al-Mustafi. Now when Mukhtar saw that he had been defeated, he began to flee.
16. Then Musab said, let him not escape. If he does, then your lives will go for his. So they chased Mukhtar and killed him in a mosque at Basra.
17. So did the brother of Abdullah, the son of al-Zubayr recover the seat. Then he sent 100,000 dirhems to his brother, saying, receive it as a token of my appreciation.
18. Now in those days, five thousand Shiites arose and protested before the court of Musab. Then he took hold of them and kept them captive.
19. Now while Musab ruled as the governor of Basra, ten elders of the Shiites came to him and said, we plead with you, release our people whom you have taken captive.
20. Now the names of the ten elders of the Shiites are Abbas, Mujahid, al-Khadim, Sherif, Usman, Khalil, Mohammed, al-Basit, Taofik and Basrat(the only female among them).
21. Then they said, we have come to seek you for two things. First, that you should release the five thousand Shiites in your custody to us.
22. Second, that you should grant your support for Ali, the son of Hussein to be declared as the caliph.
23. For this Ali whom we speak about is not someone who will contend with you for anything. He shall not be a threat to your position as the governor.
24. He is only a writer of good words and a moral man. Let him be declared as the caliph, for this will please many people here in Basra, in the whole of Iraq, in Iran, Mecca, Medina, Egypt and all Islamic states.
25. Now Musab said, for the first request I will honour because you have come to me in a humble disposition. But for the second request, it is not in my power to do it.
26. But I will speak to the right person and if he permits, then I shall do it.
27. So Musab released the five thousand Shiites in his custody, but when he consulted Abdullah the son of al-Zubayr his brother over the appointment of Ali as the caliph, he rejected blatantly, saying, how do you bring such request to me?
28. Can two caliphs live together without sharp contentions? How can I be a caliph and the Alids be caliphs at the same time? Will Islam not be well divided by so doing?
29. Now Musab told the Shiites that the request they made was not accepted.
30. Then the Shiites said to themselves, why do we continue to cower under others? We declare Ali, the son of Hussein the imam, for he is the Mahdi whom we expect to unite Islam again.
