Hello, My fellow nairalanders help a brother to solve this Questions, i know there are alot of Good and smart peoples here. Q1. If the price of one ounce falls by 4% to $326.40, what percentage increase is needed to raise the price to it's original value? Express the answer to the nearest tenth of a percent. Thanks. |

Dankasin:answer is 4.2% Explanation: Let x rep. original price, 4% of x = x - $326.40, therefore, x = $340 Now, the percentage increase needed to raise the price to it's original value is: y% of $326.40 = $340 - $326.40, y = 4.166666667% y = 4.2% (apprx. to the nearest tenth) |
