WE BELIEVE WE'VE BUILT SOMETHING AWESOME FOR YOU. AS THE END USER, WE'LL LET YOU DECIDE

If you do manage to get to the end of this post explaining our ideas (which is essentially our MVP or Minimum Viable Product), you have the option of doing one of two things — click the Like text, thus declaring your allegiance to the idea, for all Nairalanders to see, or click the (much less colourful) Quote Text and tell us why you think our idea sucks, and what we can do better, if at all. (Unlike your ex, we’ll listen to what you say.)

So let’s jump right in

The idea of GramSquare is best explained with a relatable example, which is what the next few paragraphs and images try to do.

As a retailer trying to grow your small business so as to attain financial freedom considering the economic state of our beloved country - Nigeria, you make use of different digital platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, may be a website to build online presence. With high hopes of increasing customer base, you engage in different tactics such daily posts, videos, using right hashtags, joining pods (WhatsApp or Telegram) to drive engagement, follow-for-follow, etc. You even see videos of others who claim to have recorded successes using the social media tactics but wondering why this is not working for you.

Let's say you get a potential customer who slides into your DM on Instagram asks about price. You ask the her to add you on WhatsApp to continue the conversation. She adds you, and negotiation begins. After much chit-chat and you both have agreed on a bargained price, you ask her to make payments and then you don't get response from her anymore. This can be really frustrating especially when you're looking to grow sales and meet needs on the home front. Now imagine you have to do this 10 times everyday - believe me, this is very little compared to what you do everyday.

You need a better way to get this done — reach more customers, grow your online presence, handle negotiations with customers, make sales, maintain customer loyalty, organize inventory and set the ball rolling without all this back and forth

Right about now you’re wondering — Ok, I agree, selling online is not as simple as ABC. But how can GramSquare help me?

The image below shows how you can make your Instagram posts available as a product listing on GramSquare

Here’s some boring text to explain what GramSquare does. (Don’t worry we have more pictures coming.)
1. Copy the link of your Instagram post
2. Open the GramSquare App and paste the in the text input.
3. GramSquare automatically loads the post from Instagram
4. You then provide the name of the item, asking price, last price and category of the product.
5. Click add to store and the product is available for GramSquare visitors to see.

Interested? Then read on to find out how GramSquare works.
Think of GramSquare as a tool with which you can convert your Instagram account into an online store. Where you can turn a post into product on sale.

What can a GramSquare do?
Increase Sales - we see one of the most important features on GramSquare is that it automatically posts your products to Facebook, Google, and Instagram ads with little effort from you. Also helps you handle payments, manage your inventory and keep your customers notified once you have new items for sale.

Ok, so GramSquare allows me to convert my Instagram account to an online store right from my phone. Is there more?

Why do people price in markets, malls, schools and anywhere? This was never a question for us until we asked people outside Nigeria.

It struck me big time. Mehn! Nigerians love pricing. We'll price Maggi, locust bean, Agege bread, sliced bread, and fufu even from the local "mama put".

Studies have shown that of 90% sold items done in Nigeria every day are a product of strong bargaining and negotiation?

Can GramSquare help me handle bargaining back and forth?
YES!!! We designed GramSquare to help you handle negotiations, freeing you up of chit-chat and allowing you focus on spending more time with your loved ones and planning the future of your business.

The images below show how this is done for you. The example is a Unisex Sneaker with an asking price of NGN 7500 and final price NGN 6500. A potential buyer opens a bargain by clicking the yellow button with the price. The price goes down until it reaches the final price. Immediately, customer bargains to the last price, she is prompted to enter her payment and delivery details. Once this is done, you get notified
and make the delivery - WHOOPS money in the bank for you!!!

Notifications
With GramSquare, you only required to take action when there's a sale, i.e. a customer has paid for your product. You get a message about customer order information .
