Dear Mr. President, I salute you most reverently in the spirit of patriotism. Permit me to congratulate you on your recent victory at the just concluded national elections. As you fly on the jet plane for another four years at the Presidential Villa, I needed to write to bring to your notice Ideas as a young Nigerian in the hurricane of insecurity in the country to help Nigeria move forward and created a secure ground for investors who will help improve our economy. We need to learn from other first and second world countries the techniques used to solve some of their problems. Nigeria is a country on the coast of West Africa, bordered by the Bight of Benin and the Gulf of Guinea in the south. Nigeria is bordered by Benin, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger; it shares maritime borders with Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, and São Tomé and Principe. Mr. president I can Authoritatively tell you based on months of research in the interest of my dear country tell you that to every 100 Nigerians 20 are none citizens, this alone is an economic sabotage to our dear Nation, that means to every budget made every year 20% are cart away by migrant who does not contribute to the growth of this nation economically. Your fight against corruption is not producing the required result because this enemy of the nation (looters) has device means to loot the country and cart away our commonwealth using this undocumented elite migrant who holds positions in the society. Example: a renowned company in Nigeria is headed by an undocumented migrant from Niger who breaks all our laws using corrupt Nigerians to loot money for the elite and foreign entities in the country Mr. President, you have to take our immigration and borders seriously if you want to make the changed you have always wanted, you have the opportunity now to make this difference The insecurity and crime rate in the country is as of the result of a failed borders and immigration system, to the heads of this department is business as usual. Most of the crime been committed from the Fulani herd's men and boko haram in the north, to the kidnapping in the west, south and central is as of the result of criminal element from other countries who have settled as Nigerian and is even hard to differentiate them from a real Nigerian who has taken advantage of our fail border to ship in arms and ammunition for their criminal activities. SOLUTIONS There should be a major shake-up in the immigration and customs organization without favor’s tribalism There should be inclusive youth engagement in your government because the youth are very active and energetic, if you look around you will see our youth are left alone to scavenge like vulture in the country, and they have to survive by means even if it required them to participate in crime i.e. From internet scam and prostitution, while the weak and elderly are in positions they can’t actively handle The youth should be empowered and trained on technology national security economics and agriculture which was once our major source of strength as a nation The government should set up a joint task force to enforce our border laws like other countries dose. Our youth who are been currently arrested by the Efcc on fraud should be rehabilitated other than jail you can’t send youth who committed minor offences because they had to survive going to patch tent with harden criminal they will only graduate further into the world of crime There should be a major shake-up in the police force by increasing the qualification required to join the police force, that will reduce illiteracy and improve understanding of the rules of engagement. Education should be looked into because the quality and conditions of education are very poor in Nigeria, due to corruption in our universities. Finally, your government should invest heavily on technology a country as big as Nigeria should not keep in the formation of its citizens on a paper the world is now a global village we should learn to move with the flow this will help us greatly on record keeping. Your Excellency, I hope that this letter will find a place with your esteemed self. Yours sincerely Moses Salami |
