Dear MD,NPA-NIGERIA

Please for the interest of Standard and National Service by Professional Vendor of over thirty years experience in Revenue Collections judiciously, kindly give INTEL another chance by re-negotiating interest accural to her for 18% or more.

Also for the interest of standard not to be compromised ,kindly ask for the payments to be remiited cordiallly according to a win-win principle of contracts and procurement of service,

I know very well, from the Nigeria view, requesting for replacement of vendor now will be bad precedent for the Government and concerned Nigerians as witch hunting and bad omen for the opposition party.

Thanks

If this is done to reduce the service charge and increase income to the Government coffers, fine. However, if it's done to get back at the opposition without having a standard company that can handle NPA collections, the outcome would be a regret.

Without holding brief for any company or political party, I doubt if there is any maritime service provider in Nigeria that can match intels in all ramications.
rubbish talk. is atiku's company intels the one providing logistic support for ports in lagos? companies like mersk, cotecna etc can do far better.

Even Tinubu they call names dont get 28% of revenue collected. How can one collect 28% and still refused to remit 72%? Why did pdp government allowed it in the first instance? Why was it not done like lagos state where individual share of revenue is done at source and no one needs to settle the other. And this man wants to govern Nigeria - then, Obasanjo may be right on his comments regarding him
What is 28% when he can get 95% from that overpopulated slum
Heck he even picks who governs that slum
He got a deputy gov to denounce her principal grin

Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has explained why it terminated the services of Intels Nigeria Limited from the eastern ports of Calabar, Delta and Port Harcourt.

The company, co-owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, provides comprehensive integrated logistics services for the Nigerian oil and gas industry and has 30 years of experience in port management and support services in shore bases across Nigeria.

The Managing Director of the NPA, Hajia Hadiza Bala Usman, told The Nation that the decision to terminate the services of Intels was informed by the latter’s inability to remit over $140 million to the federal government’s coffers, being the accumulated revenue it generated for a period of time.

“Intels was providing a service of collecting revenue for port operations and they were not remitting as and when due,” she said.

She recalled that after she came on board as NPA MD, she signed “a supplementary agreement which required all revenues generated to be paid into the single treasury account (TSA).”

Usman said Intels, however, reneged on the agreement it had with the NPA and the corporation was left with no option than to cancel the contract outright.

She said: “Following the agreement, Intels has been very difficult in making payments to us. They owe us over $140million that they have not remitted. So, we felt such non-compliance and such level of impunity should not be accepted, hence we issued a notice of termination to them.

“We are going to advertise for a replacement company that would offer such services at a cheaper cost because Intels is charging the Nigerian government 28 percent for revenue collection and typically such commissions are limited to 10-15 percent.

“You hardly see where an agency is charging 28 percent. So, we have issued a notice of termination and we are also going to court to ensure that those monies not credited by Intels are paid back”.

PDP has suffered.. There's no pity whatsoever. Total annihilation. Guess they never knew APC brought guns to a matchet fight. It now seems like two rival cult groups and no more a political movement.. smh. I pray to see cohesiveness between political parties after election just like Dem and Rep.
