Recently, a person in Kaduna concocted a story and shared it on social media, a well known celebrity copied the story and reposted. That story caused break down of law and order leading to multiple loss life. The buttomline is that the story was fake and the celebrity gave it the necessary publicity causing loss of life.

What AIT was doing is worst, because they were doing it with government license to broadcast. If AIT airs anything that threatened the peace or security of lives and property, it is not only AIT that is responsible, government is also responsible.

A lot of laws are broken on social media but government has not gone after such individuals for certain reasons, but for AIT to copy such statements, broadcasting it to the whole world is the height of irresponsibility.

Media is a powerful tool to disseminate news,sell it and make it sink. It depends on how the disseminator sinks the news. One major tool that finished Jonathan's Govt that people hardly talk about was 'fake news' the then opposition party and now main party sold the news to us that the less educated or educated illiterates who happen to be in the larger percentage of the country believed every News hook, line and sinker vehemently..

Any Govt who wants to succeed in Nigeria must have a lil of iron fist to check mate News and the casters.
