Cervical Spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis is a common, age-related condition that affects the joints and discs in your cervical spine, which is your neck. It is also known as neck arthritis.

It develops from the wear and tear of cartilage and bones. More than 85 percent of people older than age 60 are affected by cervical spondylosis.

For most people, cervical spondylosis causes no symptoms, but when symptoms do occur, they typically include pain and stiffness in the neck.

Risk Factors

Risk factors for cervical spondylosis include:

1. Age- It is a normal part of aging.

2. Occupation- Jobs that involve repetitive neck motions, awkward positioning or a lot of overhead work put extra stress on your neck.

3. Neck Injuries- Previous neck injuries appear to increase the risk of cervical spondylosis.

4. Genetic factors- Some individuals in certain families will experience more of these changes over time, while others will not.

5. Smoking- Smoking has been linked to increased neck pain.

Worry not, with Biboting, Cervical spondylosis or any form of Arthritis can be managed.
