James bond in the books isnt a comedian cracking jokes and making cool moves, he is a violent assassin( licensed to kill) .

Think Jason Bourne as the American version of James bond.

Roger Moore was also good. I couldn't get enough of his film, "The man with a golden gun." while growing up.

But nevertheless Pierce Brosnan is the most sellable due to his charms and good looks.

Lol, they didn't word it properly. He starred in a James Bond movie- The Spy Who Loved me, he was the submarine commander in that movie. Roger Moore was the actual James Bond character then.

I doubt that cos the producers of Bond movies didn't portray bond like that up until the vin diesel of a bond, Craig Daniel.

As I said I read some books and I was surprised. Bond is an assassin a killer not a gentleman. Though the drinks and girls go with the program.
